Clear Blue Fertility Monitor

Has anyone used the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor?

If so, has it worked for you?

Yes! It did not work for me other than helping me to identify that I wasn't ovulating on a regular schedule. So, I guess it did really do it's job. I was later diagnosed with PCOS and became pg from IUI.
However, my best friend used it before me and after 8 months of trying she became pg after using it for three months. It worked perfectly for her.
I do like it and would use it again in the future. It helps to take a lot of the guess work out.
Good luck!!

I'm using it this month along with an OPK. I've been using it for two months. Here is my opinion, it really doesn't do anything more for you than a digital OPK would. However, if you buy digital OPKs for a few months, then you've more than paid for the monitor and test sticks. At least with the monitor's test sticks, you'll have a 3 month supply for $35 and with a digital OPK, you may squeeze one to two months out of it. If you have long cycles though, it could be expensive either way as you'd be using lots of test sticks to detect the LH surge.

So, in the end, they both simply detect your LH surge IMHO.

Hi Gals,

This was the first month using the monitor and I do not think that it worked for me. On CD20, I gave up and got OPKs from the store and my first stick was double lined!! So I gave the monitor another 2 days and no peak!! Thank goodness I spent money on more tests, because I was able to watch the 2 dark lines fade within 3 days and felt alittle better. Now I really do not trust this machine.

I am also thankful that I kept BBT records as well... here is to the 2WW!

This happen to anyone? Kat

I also kept a BBT chart in addition to the monitor and OPK. I did both the monitor and OPK in case I surged in the afternoon after I tested in the morning with the monitor. So far, the past two cycles, that has been the case. I seem to get my LH surge in the afternoon. I'll get a "high" reading on the monitor in the am and then get a positive OPK in the afternoon on the same day and then get the "peak" reading (indicating LH surge) on the monitor the next day. So far, the monitor has been as accurate as the OPK. The only difference between one picking up my LH surge before the other is the time of day each is used.

Kat,
I wonder if there is something wrong with your monitor? Did you buy it used or brand new? If it's new, I'd return it and get another one.

My ob/gyn told me to buy an OPK. I was upset by the news she gave me so I didn't pay attention about when I was supposed to start the OPK. I looked at the directions briefly last night and threw it back in the bag because I was in such a bad mood. Any helpful advice? My BBTs didn't show a spike in temp so doc thinks I don't ovulate.

I bought it used and I reset it.... it was used one month and worked for the gal. When I say reset, it looks like it does right out of the box. I am also thinking that my sticks may have gotten too hot. I had some OPK sticks that did not show a peak, but the ones that I just bought did and I even tried the same... umm sample.... to make sure. I am not comparing the colors of the brands, but the fact one was two dark same color lines... lol...

Thanks Angela!! I will see what I can do though. Kat
