Help with Fertility Monitor

I just started using the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor this month. I am on CD22. I have been testing since CD6 and started getting High's around CD11. Have been BDing every other day since CD10 just to be sure.

Has anyone used expired tests? Did you not get a peak with them? My cycles are generally 29 days.

TIA

I just started using the monitor this month but I am not using expired test sticks so I don't have experience with those.

I did get peak readings with my test sticks.

I am using the Monitor to test in the morning and OPK to test in the afternoon. I got a "high" reading in the morning and a "positive" reading in the afternoon. The next day I got a "peak" reading on my monitor. Lesson learned...some times you can have a LH surge later in the day so your "peak" reading may be a day behind.

I'm not quite sure why you haven't had a peak reading yet unless either your expired sticks are defective in some way or you just haven't had your LH surge yet.

Good luck!

Hi: I'm not sure you can trust the sticks if they're expired... have you called the company to ask them? It's good that you are BMSing regularly... that way if your Monitor failed to pick up O, which is possible if you are at cd 22 and your cycle is usually 29 days, then you didn't compromise your chances of conceiving this cycle!

I never used the Monitor, but I hear that when you're just starting out, it can take the Monitor a few cycles to "get to know" you. Perhaps that's what's happening or perhaps the expired test sticks are the problem. If you don't get pg this month -- and I hope you do! -- I would definitely buy new sticks and see how they work out.

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted+++++++

Awesome!!!!! That is great news. It's about time we got some good news on this board.

Maybe I should be using expired test sticks instead of new ones?

YAHOOOOOOO! Congratulations on your ++! Just goes to show you, you can't always trust OPK devices because you obviously ovulated this month!

Best wishes for a happy and healthy pg+++++++++++

I think so, Dina, given her usual cycle length (otherwise she would be getting a ++OPK on cd 31 since she was on cd 22 nine days ago)... Can you confirm, Jordan?!

All the best++++++++++++
