Temps HIGH, but spotting???

Heres a question. I have been testing above my coverline, this morning in fact it was 98.4, then 98.2. ( I went back to sleep) I have had off and on cramping, etc, like AF was coming tested negative for preg, and I am day 14piui! Its light pink, although, an hour prior, I was poking around my cervix literrally, to see the position of cervis. In any event, my question is, why was my temp not low this morning? Last time I had my forst day of period I was at 97.7. I took my temp tonite, which I know doesnt count but its 99.0.
Any clue?
P.s. I was also on progesterone, but stopped 2 days ago.

hilary....it doesn't sound quite like AF. so it could be AF is on the way (which we hope not) or it could be benign spotting and you can get a pos in a few days.

i always spotted before AF ( i don't know if this is the norm for you or not) but i didn't get my true AF temp plunge until the day before i started full flow.

also, why did you stop your progesterone?

I think I got AF. I didnt take my temp unitil I was out of shower, running late for an appointment, it is 98.4, I took it last night before bed and it was 97.9. I have cramps pretty bad and some bleeding this morning. I stopped progesterone becasue I took 3 tests, all NEG. I kinda knew I was not preggers. On to the next cycle. This time we are doing 2 IUI's! I think thats going to help as i had my last IUI at 2pm and then ovulated the next day at 11:45AM. I dont care what any doctor tells me, I really believe the wash sperm stays in you for 6-10 hours, just like a book I have says. Ill post it when i get back from my meeting. The author is a fertility doctor/specialist an RE.

One doctor says 24 to 48 hours, which is TOTALLY wron g, the others say it can live within 24 hours. I am taking the advice of this book, which says 6 to 10. Whats your thought on that?

i've always heard 24 hours was the MAX with washed sperm. i'm gonna see if i can find some info for you.

P.S. i would probably go with the conservative life span as well...therefore your bases are always covered.

hilary......i found this (among other things) but this seemed to be a fairly reliable source. my interpretation is that 24 hours in accurate....HOWEVER, as they were studied, the motility decreased throughout the hours.

Hi Hilary, I don't know anything about the washed sperm issue, but wanted to tell you that I'm sorry AF showed up (if that's what it was) and that I hope next cycle ends in a +++++

Keep us posted and good luck+++++++++
