Hi Jules,
I am in the tww as well! To be honest i have been using BBT but i have been truly learning the mechanics of it since i starting using the board. I think that one of the most important thing is that temp is above coverline after O, however the more experienced girls on the board will be able to give you better tips. I too struggle with not knowing what are adequeate temps and what to look out for...it is truly a learning experience. Keep me posted on how you are doing. Sending you lots of positive thoughts Zizzie |

Hey girls! I'm in the 2ww too after a "rest cycle" from IVF try. I did bbt and some non-Western medicine approaches. I'm also wondering about temps, since mine seemed to super spike today. It was 2/10 over the past six a few days ago, but now it's really up there. I'm posting my chart to see if any of you brilliant ladies can tell me what it means. I think we've pretty much bombarded that poor egg with swimmers, but with today's spike, I'm wondering if it's worth one more time for good measure.

what I know
in the 2ww it's a good sign if you see a 2nd level of high temps, for instance the first 7-8 days after you ovulate are over your coverline, but then days like 9-14 after you ovulate may be even higher over your coverline, almost forming a new line of their own. Obviously if you have 18 days of high temps after ovulation, they say that's almost certainly a BFP. I had this type of BBT raise w/ my pregnancies. BUT I must warn you that if you are on fertility meds sometimes they can make your temps do funny things (like mimic lots of pregnancy symptoms). Just be careful not to get your hopes up too high if you are on meds. I was last month, and my BBT chart looked awesome w/ the 3rd tier... I was all excited, and then saw the BFN. Best of luck, I hope this is your month!!

pg men'd
yep, what trustinginhim said is preety right on. there are some flags that could point to pg, but then again, you could have perfectly average looking temps, and be pg.
with my last pg, i even got my usual pre-AF plummet in temps the day before i expected AF. it was just like every other month, so i was sure it was another failed cycle. the following morning when i should've gotten AF, my temp shot back up. way up. i had gone into a third level of temps and stayed there for the following 6 days, which is when i stopped temping. i also got what could be percieved as an "implantation dip" at 10dpo. however it's not unusal to get a dip during your 2ww, regardless of whether or not implantation has occurred. ideally, you want your temps to stay above your CL. this doesn't mean that anything's wrong if you drop close to it here or there. for me personally, the month i conceived brought my temps to their highest level. one last thought...keep in mind that taking progesterone supp's can mimic pg in many ways, including temps. good luck to all of you!!!!!!

Thanks Dina and Trusting! So, my latest spike isn't really anything positive or negative, I guess. Just positive that it's above the coverline.
I'm not actually sure how much into the 2ww I even am. I can't decide when I actually O'd. I guess day 23? That's the day after my +OPK. I dunno... xo-Coo

I noticed that the last three days I have been right above my coverline almost in a straight line but gradually increasing each day-day before yesterday I was 97.72, yesterday I was 97.74 & today I was 97.76. However, I am only 5dpo I think so who knows-I'll just keep it up!! I don't take prog suppliments so I don't have to worry about that part. I'll keep you all posted! Thanks for your help and ++++ thoughts-I am thinking of all of you as well. Good luck ladies!!

coo....i'm squinting really hard to read your temps...LOL and it looks like cd 23 was in fact your O day. you begin counting dpo the day after O as 1 dpo.
jules... that's not unusual to have a gradual rise. it's even ok to hover abover your CL in the beginning of the 2ww. as long as they don't flat line there throughout the 2ww, don't even give it another thought. keeping my fingers crossed for you girls!

Hi All,
Dina, just a question ....i am too in my 2ww and my temps have been a constant 36.68/9 (my coveline id 36.64). I should be 7DPO (if O occurred at CD15). I think it is not good is it especially given i am on prog supplements as well. I have never had this sort of temp in a straight line. What i have nticed is that I am not as dry as i usually am after O (??????) Zizzie |
