*SIGH* af is messing with me...

So...little background. I have been on metformin for about five months, been having regular cycles for four. As far as i have seen i havent been ovulating on my own, temps are always a near flatliner. Well i didnt temp this month, as everyone was sick including me so temps were all over the place for two weeks. I had an appointment with my doc to get my prescription for clomid last week. Now that I've been on metformin we figure my body is primed enough to go ahead and ttc with meds. Well I spotted for two days, including the day i went in to the dr.....was kinda just when i wiped. Wasnt red at all but brown and very very light. Thought af was coming. I usually spot three or four days before AF like that. Well the spotting lasted two days (i thought af was going to be really early as it was only like cd 24 then) and left. Well, no af. No spotting. No nothing and its cd 30! I'm usually a 28-29 cd person since being on metformin. ARGH. I know she knows i have the clomid and was preparing to use it.

My husband thinks im hilarious but i think its a conspiracy theory. What the heck! I wasnt even stressed about starting so im not sure why the delay =( It bothers me i am not even spotting as i usually do so it would put AF very very late even if i started spotting today. Anyone else do this before? I'm extremely tired as well. I could sleep for a week i think.

Have you considered getting a preg. test done? The spotting could very well be due to implantation. If your dr. will let u, go ahead and ask for a beta. I know how frustrating all this can be...I was on a medicated cycle (100mg clomid), monitored thro'out, had an iui done, verified ovulation, and am still 4 to 5 days late today. My dr's office however were kind enough to let me go in for a blood preg. test. Will know the results tomorrow. I'd suggest u do the same (or if u are upto it do a HPT).

Julie - it's murphy's law that AF will mess with you just when you're ready to start some tx. I think you should do a HPT though (for me, nothing brings on AF quicker)! I have a good vibe about you possibly being pg!

I'm having a similar problem, except that I have been ovulating on metformin. Finally we're getting serious with tx, adding lovenox, and boom - no ovulation - what the heck. So annoying. After this experience, I'll definitely do clomid next cycle, if it ever gets here - now I have no idea when it's coming (I'm still charting, etc.).

do an HPT....even if you don't get a pos (which i hope you do) it's sure to bring the witch on once you've wasted the test. good luck!

heh....thanks girls. I'd love to believe i could be pg on my own. Somehow i cant imagine my body working as intended or well enough to do it all on its own. I guess conditioning from years of keeping hope only to be crushed month after month with negative hpts. If she doesnt show tomorrow...ill try one on saturday morning.... dangit...sigh

well...sent hubby out last night for an ept and he brings home one of those digital ones (bless his heart..only the best will do, but geeze id rather had had the plain ole pee stick ) So i took it (i think i did it right i have NO idea if i did..i dont think i waited the 15 seconds it said to because i got all confused when it started blinking after about five, i do the dip method), it said any time of day. I know it hadnt been two hours before i went so it wasnt much but i was so anxious, probably wouldnt have mattered...bfn! I hate my body. Really i do. I have NO clue what is going on. No af, woke up in the middle of the night was sick and threw up (i have the broken blood vessels in my face to prove it), and felt crappy and nauseated on and off today =( Which just makes me crazy, i was exactly like this with dd. The morning i took the test i was nauseated so it was very early for me and lasted for 7 months.

WHERE IS AF. Argh... Did i mention i hate my body....CD 32 and counting....

edit: oh yeah...odd thing..is the last two days i temped for the 'fun' of it... 98 and 98.1. My temps are never that high..maybe im just sick and dont know it =( still doesnt explain where AF is...My no O temps are about 97.6 or so...

don't give up yet julie. where there's no AF, there's always hope! do you still have another test?

I am so sorry about the BFN but hang in there ok. Yeah, easier said than done. I agree with DKNY, no AF there is still hope hon'. Can you have your doc do a beta?
