OK Ladies, help me make this baby!!!!!!
FINALLY ++++OPK yesterday at 3:00pm (cd 22). But my temp was still regular this morning (no drop, no rise). BMS last night. Now when is the best time to BMS again? Should we wait until tonight again? Should I continue to pee on the stick?
One more totally yucky thing (sorry). I am not having EWCM. So, I went to the store and bought the egg whites in a carton (pasteurized for no salmonella). Really didn't like the look of them--they are very runny and don't look at all like egg whites. And they have weird curdled floating stuff in them. SO.....I went for the regular egg whites. Used a syringe and squirted that stuff right up! But I think I may have used too much. I looked all over the web for directions on exactly how to substitute egg whites for EWCM, but couldn't find any. Anyone have any clue??? THANKS!!! Coo

Hi Cooroo, great news with the +OPK. I had a hard time finding info. on the web about using egg whites where the sun don't shine and I came up with this:
If you need a lubricant during intercourse, try using egg white instead of a pharmaceutical lubricant, suggests Andrew Toledo, M.D., a fertility specialist and reproductive endocrinologist who is assistant clinical professor of medicine in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University in Atlanta. Because the egg white lubricant is pure protein--as are sperm--it makes a better "carrier" than lubricants made from nonprotein substances. If dryness is a problem, Dr. Toledo recommends using the egg white lubricant during the days when a woman is fertile and a regular lubricant the rest of the time. But don't use egg white if you're allergic to it, and be sure to separate the white from the yolk before applying it to either the penis or the vagina. Take more vitamin C. Studies by researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston show that large doses of vitamin C can reverse some cases of male infertility. The team there, headed by Earl B. Dawson, Ph.D., reported that men who increased their vitamin C intake to 1,000 milligrams daily (the Recommended Dietary Allowance is 60 milligrams) showed increased sperm count, motility and longevity. Now , not because you don't see any CM it's not there. If you did a cervical checkYou can check her mucus in several ways, depending on which is most comfortable for you. Some of the options are: * wipe the vaginal opening with toilet tissue before urination * observe the discharge on underpants * obtain some of the mucus by placing your fingers (making sure they are clean) in the vagina. When checking the mucus, be sure to note the color. It may be white, creamy, opaque, or clear. Early mucus is usually described by one of these terms: Scanty, not a lot present, the consistency is thick and sticky, it usually holds it shape. The color is white or opaque. Next there is "Transitional stage". Some of the characteristics of this stage are: Increasing amounts of mucus, mucus will be thinner, and cloudy in appearance and color. At this stage, it is slightly stretchy. The final stage before ovulation is the "Highly fertile stage". At this time, mucus will usually be visible in profuse amounts. It's thin, and transparent. It's often called "egg white cervical mucus" because of its stretchy properties. WHEN TO BMS AFTER A +OPK: It's best to have intercourse the day of the LH surge and the two days after. Also consider "insurance" sex for one more day in case you ovulate late. Perfect timing would be to have had intercourse the day before the LH surge as well, but that can be hard to predict for those with an irregular cycle. If you don't know when you might ovulate, having sex every other day from cycle day 10 through a positive OPK. If you are taking your basal body temperature, you should have sex through the first day of your temp rise to make sure you cover all days (though after the rise is usually too late). You can also do the cervical position check. *-* What is cervical position, and how do I check it? During your cycle, your cervix changes it position. Monitoring this, can help you track your fertile periods. You should begin checking your cervical position at the end of your period and check it daily, and preferably, at the same time of day. There are several positions you can use to check the positioning. Experiment with each, and find which is the most comfortable one for you. It's important that once you decide on a position, you consistently use the same one. Many women find that sitting on the toilet is a easy position to use, while others prefer to squat or place one foot up on the toilet or tub, while the other is on the floor. You will need to use one hand to hold back the vaginal lips, while inserting the other hand's middle finger into your vagina. Move your finger up until you hit your cervix. It should feel like a rounded cylinder shaped mass within your body. Note the position you find. Does it see far back? lower down? During the beginning of your cycle, and after ovulation, your cervix is in a low position. It raises to the higher position just before and during ovulation. Hope this info. was useful. Wishing you +++++++++++++ and sticky thoughts this cycle. Good luck!!!

What an AMAZING reply you gave!! Thank you so much! Funniest part? I'm actually from Galveston Texas where they did that vitamin C study!!!
![]() OK, one last question. I did another OPK just now (3 pm) and it is still very +++. So BMS last night, does it matter what time we get to it tonight? Should I make my DH come home from work this afternoon? Otherwise we won't be able to until after 9ish. (am I just crazy at this point?) xo-Coo
