question about clearblue digital hpt

In the instructions it says after you eject the test stick, not to pay attention to if there are one or two lines????? So if there is one dark line and one faint, that doesn't mean that it detected hcg, but not enough for it to register "pregnant"? Has anyone else wondered about this? Thanks for sharing.

Shel

I couldn't find any info on the Clearblue website regarding your question. I do know that the instructions with the Fertility monitor states

"What do the blue lines mean on the test stick and can I tell when I'm ovulating by looking at the color or intensity of the lines?

Unlike other home ovulation test sticks that can be read visually by comparing the color intensity of a test line and reference line, the monitor test sticks are designed to be read by the monitor only."

You can also call the toll free number at 1-800-321 EASY (3279) if noone here knows the answer.

Hi Shel! I've heard that the lines are TOTALLY irrelevant on this HPT... Of course, that doesn't mean that a person seeing them isn't pg... just that they can't know it from seeing those lines!

All the best++++++++++

Funny, I just posted the same thing on another thread. I am now 13dpiui, and just did a digital read test. I had a faint line and a dark line when I removed the test stick. So I did a little research, and this is all I could come up with. I still don't know what to think...the digital read said "not pregnant", but I just am not ready to accept that I guess...

It's a pdf file , so I think you have to have Acrobat to read it.

I'm not sure what namebrand you used. However, I'm sure that the kit came with a instruction guide that probably has a 1-800 on it. My guess is that the digital pregnancy tests are like the digital OPKs. The lines do not mean the same thing on the digital test sticks like the traditional test sticks. However, to definitely easy your mind and get the correct answer, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer if the instructions don't already state not to use the line reading for test results.

Good luck. Hopefully, it is a positive!
