jonni.....there's no way to know for sure about O unless you're actively trying to track it. CM increases and decreases throughout the cycle. if you're very familiar with your cycle and the changes that occur prior to O, then you'd really know best.

keep in mind tho....in order for AF to start, you would've had to O first.

Jonni: As Dina said, without more information (like from charting or OPKs) it's hard to know what's going on... cm can come and go throughout a cycle... It could be that you did ovulate before and AF will come soon... or it could be that you're ovulating now and AF will come in about 2 weeks (depending on how long your LP is).

I hope you find out where you are in your cycle soon... I know not knowing is so hard!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++

Uncertain Timing

I know that I "should" know when I O , but see my cycles have never been normal any way When I found out I was prg I was coming out of 6 months without a period anyway....it was almost a year ago and I have no idea when I did anything...I do good to remember my Vitamin everyday lol....
I just thought maybe someone would know about CM and if it increases as your body gets ready to O i thought maybe that I am O ing now and that I should us OPK but i have read that women with PCOS it gives them an incorrect reading...so I am just out of it i guess. We'll have BMS anyway just for the Fun of it. and then if it happens it does but When I do get AF I will not leave my spot without temping that is for sure... I appreaciate time and Advice.. it reasures me alot of the times when I feel low and Crazy...o I just have a question when you O do you get more ......FRISKIER?? I have heard that too when you get O then you want to BMS all time really bad...I was just wondering should I watch for that LOL.....
Well thanks for eveything and for the time you take for me and eveyone else on here...you guys no alot and that helps more than anything..
thanks Jonni

Hi Jonni: Yes, cm does typically change as O approaches... the standard pattern is to go from no cm, to sticky/tacky cm, to creamy/lotiony cm, to stretchy/slippery/eggwhitey cm... then after O, cm tends to dry up again due to the increased progesterone after O. If you're having copious, wetter cm, then it sounds like O might be close (if you didn't in fact O around the 19th/20th)...so by all means, BMS if you want to resume ttc!

As for friskiness, I've heard that some women do get frisky around O.... I never really experienced that, so I can't speak from experience! In any event, if you DON'T feel like that, it doesn't mean you're not going to O!

Good luck++++++++++++

Its just so Funny

I think that it is just so funny how we women never really pay attention to detail about our bodies until we have too and then we have all the questions in the world...Well me anyway. I agree i just thought I would ask since I was always one of those I never thought I would have to now anything other than what to do to get prg and what not to do to not get prg. I tell ya the more i read the more I feel like i am learning things and theymay not always pertain to me but it I feel like someday i might need the info since i never thought i would ever need this stuff I ask and I am afraid I am going to miss something now..I am Addicted to this SITE!!!!! Which i will say that I enjoy reading and knowing that i am not alone is so amazing.. Thanks to everyone...

I know.. I never paid attention to anything about my body and never even knew when my period was due before starting to ttc! I've learned SO much through this whole journey!

Best++++++++++++
