Having a very wierd cycle--any thoughts? (Warning pg and ds ment)
I am cd29. I normally (like forever!) have 30 day cycles and ovulate on day 19. Only once EVER have I ovulated earlier that I know of. I've been going through this IF buisness for about 5 years and could have bought stock in the OPK's when ttc my ds.
I've had a successful IVF, a failed donor embie cycle (chemical pg) and have unexplained IF. My dr. has recommended since my successful IVF that we ttc on our own for a bit until we are ready to do IVF again. He says there is no reason why on earth we can't get pg. We did the donor embie cycle for reasons not related to our IF. We have been using the clearplan fertility monitor since Jan (chemical pg was in Dec). Always see an eggie on day 17 and feel that I ovulate on day 19. This cycle I said to my dh on day 14, "If I am not ovulating early then I don't know what is going on b/c I had more EWCM than I had ever seen in my life." Sure enough. The am of day 15 I see an eggie. We bd on day 13, 15, 16, 17. Am I at the point of tmi yet? LOL! So, I am cd 29 now--meaning probably 12 day luteal phase so far. Normally have an 11 day luteal phase. I have BEYOND tired for about 4 days. Dh and I were out of town (without ds) for a relaxing weekend with friends last Thurs-Sat and I was DRAGGING. Now, since I've gotten home I have not slept well, so that could account for it. But, I have taken a nap yesterday and today. I have a KILLER headache but that isn't terribly uncommon for me. No sore boobs or anything like that. Here is what is the wierdest... I had one tiny "thread" of blood on Friday night and then again on Sat. am. I had some cramping early Sat am. So, after I saw that tiny thread of blood on Sat am I told dh "I am so sick of never getting pg and to top it off I started a little early!" Well, no I didn't. That was it. No blood since. Just occasional tan mucus (I know I am at tmi now aren't I!?!) and usually not even that! This has NEVER happened to me before. I did a pg test yesterday afternoon and fmu this am--both neg. Clearblue early ones. Is it possible I am pg and not turning the evil pee stick + yet? Or am I crazy and should I just accept the fact that I am not pg and go ahead and use my new self-tanning lotion that I otherwise probably wouldn't use if I were pg--lol! This is crazy. Carla

Hi Carla
! Wow, things sound really, really promising! If you normally have an 11 day LP and you are 14 dpo today (assuming a cd 15 O), then that alone is wonderful... add to that the threads of blood and cramping without any AF (both of which could be associated with implantation since you would have been 11-12 dpo at the time, which is typical implantation timing) and things look that much better. An HPT could easily be negative at this stage since it's still early, esp. if you were in fact implanting over the weekend. Give yourself another couple of days and if still no AF, then try another test and see how you do. GOOD LUCK and please keep us posted! ++++++++++++++ Maura |

Maura,
I am pretty sure that seeing an egg on the monitor on cd15 means I would have ovulated on cd16 or 17. Seeing the egg means it has detected my LH surge. So, I'd be 12 or 13dpo today. But, like I said earlier, I normally only have an 11 day luteal phase. We'll see. But, regardless, I am feeling crappy with headaches and fatigue. I hope it is for a good reason! LOL! Thanks for your input. If I haven't started AF by Wednesday I'll probably test again. Carla |

Maura,
Looks like it was just a bad case of PMS and a wierd cycle. My good friend AF showed for a visit today. That's okay. It's not like I actually expected that I'd get pg on my own...lost that expectation a long time ago. But, a girl can keep dreaming and wishing and praying right? Thanks for your input. At least when the wierd spotting thing happens again I'll know that I've btdt. Carla |
