Question Clomid, unsure.....

I was on clomid, didnt get AF for 2 and a half months, did a HPT and was a BFN. Went on BCP for 7 days to induce my AF and 10 days later aunt flow arrived. Is it normal to be heavy and crampy? 3 days into my cycle and still heavy bleeding. Before i did my cycle of clomid, aunt flow would come every 26 days, i have 1 cycle left of clomid an i am debating and need your opinion if i should do it again, i am very unsure as i am afraid aunt flow will be delayed again. I have a OB apt on Wednesday, to let him know of whats going on. I am going away on vacation in 3 weeks and dont want to be left wondering...

Hi: I'm sorry about your negative HPT. I have never taken Clomid and I've never missed a period like that, but I'm not surprised that you have a heavy flow... if you miss AF for a month, then your lining can really build up and when a thick lining finally sheds, you'll see a lot of bleeding.

Were you monitored by your doctor while on Clomid? Did you confirm ovulation at all? I would think that you would not want to go on another Clomid cycle without having a plan to make sure that you know whether it's doing the job of getting you to ovulate. And if you were already ovulating regularly on your own, you might want to re-think whether you need Clomid in the first place. I know some OBs like to just give it where there's unexplained infertility (not sure what your diagnosis is) or where they suspect poor egg quality, but there may be other ways to proceed, depending on your diagnosis.

I would go in to see your doctor armed with a list of questions, which I would write down beforehand so that you don't forget them!

Good luck and let us know how you make out++++++++++
