Question Has anyone had a slowing of doubling on BETAs?

Hi there,

I'm very nervous and would love some advise. My doubling time has really slowed and am worrying if it's failing. Here's my #'s

13dpo 24 = 30.28hrs
15dpo 56 = 39.27
19dpo 291 = 40.38
23dpo 1500 = 40.58
27dpo 5181 = 53.68

Can this happen so early and still be a viable pregnancy? I've heard it's not supposed to slow down until 8,000 so now I'm totally nervous..wish I could be like our fertile friends and just be ignorant to all this, oh well.
Thanks so much for any replies good or bad.

Patsy

hi patsy...those numbers look good to me. i think we get hung up on the "doubling" which is not always the case. sometimes it's doubled, sometimes it's one and a half times, both of which fall into a "normal" range.

there's also a pinned thread on the beta bb which will give you an idea of how much these numbers can vary from person to person and still be perfectly normal.

good luck!

p.s. is there a specific reason why your doc is drawing so many betas?

Hi Dina,

Thanks for your response....yes there's a reason my dr is taking so many betas, I'm a psycho Wish I could be normal but being a veteran makes you kind of wacko at least that's what DH says.

Hi Patsy: Those numbers look good to me as well. It's important they be going up at a rough double every 48-72 hours, which they certainly are! And I note that if it's true that the slowing down starts around 8,000, you are only a couple of days away from 8,000 right now! Remember, the human body is not robotic and pgs grow at their own pace, within certain rough parameters.

Any u/s yet or in the near future? Seeing some hard proof may ease your mind a bit.

All the best and keep us posted++++++++
Maura

patsy....LOL...unfortunately i think many of us have gone a little "psycho." IF has a way of bringing that out in people. but of it's any consolation, you're in good company.
