Progesterone side effects

Does anyone else get aweful side effects from Progesterone supps? I just feel so fat and bloated the whole time I am taking it, it is so gross! Now I am freaking out about being on it the whole first trimester when I finally do get pregnant, ugh!

As for everything else, I am cd21 today, I just went in for my progesterone draw, although I already know I o'd on cd 13 this month. I'm not feeling to optimistic about this month though, just a feeling, I just don't feel the pregnancy symptoms that I did the other times I concieved. I guess I will know in a week though, huh? I'll post when I get my progesterone results back, cross your fingers for a high number!!!!!

++++++Jessica

well i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you jessica!!!!

as for the progest...i know many women who had difficulties taking progeterone. it honestly never bothered me. i was a little sick of using them by the time i started approaching my second trimester...but i insisited on using them until i was 12w

sounds like your progest test was timed perfectly. let us know how it goes

Jessica: Yes, I had side effects from progesterone... headaches and a profound sense of being COLD of all things! I think a lot of times the side effects subside if you are on the supps for a while... I hope that's the case for you!

And I hope this is your month... remember, you can't compare pgs... each one is different... my sister felt a lot of early symptoms with her first and NOTHING with her second. So you can never tell!

Please keep us posted and GOOD LUCK++++++
Maura

Thanks ladies. I should be getting my progesterone results back by thursday or so. My boobies are just oh so slightly sore, but it could also be that I sunburned them! ( I went tanning, I just couldn't stand the rain and clouds any longer!) So I am not putting any stock in that. Tonight I am feeling quite a few "twinges" in my lower abdomen, similar to how I felt around ovulation, I don't know if that means anything or not, I hope it doesn't mean that AF is gearing to show up!

I just got a call from my mil today, my husbands cousin is pregnant, that brings the count up to 10 people I know who are pregnant! My cousin just delivered this last week, I just wanted to eat up her baby, she is soooo sweet!

I am on cd 9 today, so tempted to test in the morning, but I will be strong!!!! I am reminding myself that there is no need in premature devastation! My temps are all staying above my coverline which is reassuring, although this morning my temp was 97.9, which gave me an immediate heart attack! I quickly took it twice more and it was 98.4, right up there where it has been, between 98.3 and 98.6. My coverline is 98.0. So hopefully, that was a fluke type of thing, maybe I had my mouth open or something!

Anyhoo, I will keep you wonderful gals posted when I hear about my progesterone level, until then...

Okay, I'm terrible, gave in this morning and took an hpt, bfn. I am 10dpo, I KNOW, too early. Anyway, it kind of helped my keep my hopes low, I really do not think this is the month anyhow, but I guess we will see. I think if I do not get pg this month, then I will take the next two months off of Clomid and ttc. I can't believe how much the whole thing wears me out and consumes my mind... Ugh! Plus I have a wedding at the end of the month that I would like to drop 10 lbs for it, and I WONT diet while ttc.(Its my husbands side of the family, very wealthy with lots of plastic surgery, I have to put my best face foreward! ) And I am going to Hawaii at the end of May and DO NOT want to be on progesterone while I'm there, so I think I will maybe pick back up in June. Hopefully we can get pregnant on our own while resting, hey, it's happened before, right? Anyway, I just realized how selfish and superficial I made myself sound, so I think I will go!!! I will check back in when I get my progesterone results, hopefully tomorrow!

jessica...i'm sorry about your bfn, but i know you know it's still way early!! it sounds like you have a plan in mind and it sounds like a good one. IF and TTC is totally comsuming. there were a few times where i put it to the back burner for a cycle or 2 because i needed a break from it mentally. my attitude was, after all this time, what's a month or 2 off, right? you'll probably enjoy your vacation a lot more too.

please update us when you can. and stay away from those HPT's for a few days, ok?
