Don't know what to do!
Please help. I'm so scared and don't know what to do . Today is cd32 and 19dpiui. Never had a cycle this long in my life. I'm wondering if it's the prog. supp. 25 mg that I'm taking? The nurse told me that I would get af as usual when using prog. It's not a lot compared to some women who are on way more mgs than I am. I have not hpt yet because I don't want to know the results! Is that just crazy of me or what? Nurse said if no af by monday than I can come in to clinic to test. Is it possible that hpt could be a false neg or am I safe that if neg. I'm not pg. and it's the prog. that is keeping me from getting af? Everyone must think I'm nuts to wait this long but I've always thought it was better to wait for af than to be dissapointed earlier than i had to be. I would love to hear what you all think. -Annie

hi
if it were me i would take the test, the pogest supp your on are not systemic(like prometrium an oral pogesterone), so i would go with the nurse, they are just there to work locally basically at your cervix, which is the mouth of your uterus. kind of like the difference btween taking putting an antiobtic ointment on your hand for a cut, instead of taking say some amoxicillin by mouth. and as a side note love your pharmacy each one of those supp are made from scratch and by hand, and it can be time consuming dependent on how many you need, just a side note from someone whos had to make them good luck hopeing you get a bfp-kel

Kel thanks for the reply. So do you think that the prog. is not making cycle longer since it is just a supp? And you think I should test with hpt this weekend or just wait until monday and go to clinic? I'm just wondering with such a low dose of prog I would still get af like most other women on here. Some women were told that they wouldn't get af when on prog. They were also on a lot higher dose than I was so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. So were you a pharm. or something that you have helped make suppos? That's cool so you must know quite a bit about these meds? Thanks again -Annie

hi annie....
well this is bringing back memories for me! i was EXACTLY where you are (well, i was 19dpo, not dpiui) when i started thinking the same way. i had sworn off hpt's about 7 mos earlier. i felt it was more disappointing to get a BFN thsn AF. i was also taking prog, however a much higher dose (200mg 2x a day). i had always had a perfect 28 day cycle, so i wasn't sure what was going on. i was also thinking it was the progest. i finally broke down and bought a test that i took at 4:30am the following morning. i wanted to be sure to use FMU and that was when i got up to go. i got an immediate ++. so i do NOT think your nuts to have waited this long. but at 19 DPIUI, i think it's fairly safe to HPT. good luck and please let us know the outcome. kel i used a little ma & pa type pharmacy when i was using progest. he was the only one i could get to cooperate with when i needed my progest. well worth it. he was the cutest little guy and he would tell me to go right home with my supp's so they didn't melt! he actually took interest and would always ask me how things were going. very sweet. too bad they're so scarce these days. he was the only privately owned pharmacy around and he's since retired.

hHi kel, for me the Prometrium(pill form) did lengthen my CD's. I was in dpo land and thought for sure I was pg. Once I stopped the pills a few days later Af came.
That's not to say you are not pg. Everyone's body is different and responds differently to progest. As long as AF is not in sight there is still HOPE!!! You are strong woman I would be peeing on that evil stick already!!! Good luck ++++++++++

it can make your cycle longer, but not like if you were on an oral pogesterone, i would take the pee stick
, yes i work in a pharmacy and i have had to make the pogest supp before, where i work we are a chain pharmacy(target) but we really are more like a local pharmacy because we do special compounds like the supp. they take time but its fun, makes you feel like you are acctually doing some good, not just fighting with ins companies and counting by 5's all day! and yeah dinas right they will melt if you dont get them to a fridgehope you get a bfp-kel
