new to fertile thoughts

I have been to the sight before and never thought I would actually begin posting my own messages. It is great to have a place to go to let all my feelings out.

My husband and I have been ttc for 3 years now and never thought we would have a problem conceiving. 3 years ago we starting seeing a fertility expert and he started me immediatley on clomid. I am an over achiever on clomid but a pregnancy never occurred. I have had all the tests and I am clear except for irregular cycles. hy husband was tested and realized he has a low count and weird morphology so his "boys" were not able to go the distance. We went through 6 rounds of artificial insemination all were unsuccessful. So now we are into the IVF route.

In December of 2004 we started the process and the doctor harvested 53 eggs. I am a record for their clinic. 23 were successfully fertilized but we could not do the transfer because I got very sick afterwards (hyperstimulation). 7 made it to the blastocyst stage so they were frozen. Just last week we did our first transer of 3 embyos and now we are playing the waiting game. My first blood test was Monday and my next will be Wenesday (hCg). We will have results by Friday.

I know manyh of you have been through this already and I have prayed for many to be successful. I just wanted to get all my thoughts out and know that peeople here will understand waht this is like. Thank you for supplying this forum!!

Hi Suzan! Welcome to FT and to this bb! Thank you for posting your story. It can feel strange to post for the first time, but it's also liberating. I still remember how it felt when I found this place back in 1999! The support was incredible.

I hope that your stay here will be short and sweet! Please come back and let us know how things go on Wednesday (btw, what was the blood test on Monday?)! GOOD LUCK and fingers are crossed for you!

The blood test on Monday was a hCg test too. I also had my second one today. The specialist I go to likes to have two different tests to compare the results. We will find out on Friday, April Fool's Day if this time is the "good news".

hi suzan....welcome i'm glad you've found your way here. this site has been my salvation for years and years. it's taken me full circle thru my IF needs, pg needs, parenting needs....and now back to IF hoping i can be of some help to those still struggling.

it sounds like you and dh have been thru a frustrating few years. we're here to help in any capacity. it would be wonderful if you got your postitive this month and moved right on to the pg bbs...but if not, we look forward to getting to know you before you "graduate!!"
