First Repsonse -

I am 7dpiui and got a neg. I know it is early, but the test should have picked up my trigger, right? I thought for sure it would be positive. My luthen cycle was only 9 days ls tmonth, so I am prog. supp. Not sure what is going on. I will test again tomorrow, and the next day, but very confused... what is going on?

I sooo understand..I took FR today too and Im 9dpt and feel like it should have picked up something if Iwas...but Igot a neg. I went online looking at hpt's and first response was accused of claiming to be ultra sensitive when there are better or equal ones out there...
Hang in there...I would think the shot would still be lingering, but at least you know if you get a +++ later on, that its all you!!
Good luck

Jen - I was ready to begin crying as nobody seemed to know the answers, and you just put a new light on this - if I test again later , maybe tomorrow or the next day, it is a good thing. Thanks, one simple post has changed my perspective!!

Hi Kris: How long ago was your trigger?

As for the HPT, it is WAAAAAY too early to take what an HPT says seriously! Your implantation window just opened up yesterday at 6 dpo and will run for another 6 days, to 12 dpo.... so, definitely wait some more before testing and know that you can get a false negative at even 14 dpo!

All the best, keep in touch and good luck++++++++++

My trigger was 9 days ago. I thought it should still be in my system and I should have gotten a +. Once it is out, then when it is +, it means I am preg, right?

Hi Kris: I think it depends on how much your trigger was. I'm no expert, but here is a blurb from the fertilityplus website:

"Q: Can I use an HPT if I had an hCG injection (such as Profasi, Pregnyl or Novarel)?

A: You can, but you should wait 7-14 days after your last injection before the shot is out of your system. If you test too soon, you might get a false positive. Wait 14 days after a 10,000 IU injection, 10 days after a 5,000 IU injection, or 7 days after a 2,500 IU injection."

That said, I would think it logical that if you are getting negative HPTs now after a trigger and then you start getting positives that the HcG showing up on the HPT would be from YOU and not the shot! If I were you, I might take another one now just to confirm that it's negative.... then I would wait another 5 days or so (so you are 12 dpIUI) and then try testing again (of course you can test in between if you want, but the longer you wait, the more reliable the HPT will be!)....

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++
