wierd cycle

Well this is nothing new for me, but I seem to be having another wierd cycle. I am on cd7 and have ewcm. It is VERY stretchy but creamy in color. I haven't even started opk, and I don't plan on it until cd 10 at least, since I O'd on cd 17 last cycle. Anyway, AF was really light this cycle, not really much to speak of at all, all of the days but one I just needed a panty liner, which is unusual for me.

Anyway, back to my original thought, It is too early for me to be Oing isn't it? Oh well, I guess if I am, we bmsed all weekend so I should be good in that dept!

My temps dropped to 97.5 and 97.3 for two days, on cd 3 and 4, , and since then it has been 98,98.2,98.2, but I think that may be because of the Clomid... I will have to see what happens in the next few days, today was my last dose of Clomid so I suspect that I may see my temps drop in a day or two.

Thanks for listening to my saga!

hi jessica....you really can't base O on cm alone. cm changes so often thru-out the month, it can be misleading sometimes.

as for the temps, i agree your temp is up b/c of the clomid. you'll see it taper back down when you stop it.

i would be pretty surprised if you O this early. espeicailly with taking clomid. i would probably stick with your plan about starting your OPK's on cd 10. and keep temping too! keep us posted.

I got a pos opk this afternoon, although it is the first day I have tested, so for some reason I do not think it is accurate! I am on cd11, and temps have been all over the chart, just like last month.I think I will keep opking because if there is no line tomorrow maybe I will believe it! Anyway, last month I got a pos opk on cd 10, but didn't o until cd 17, so I guess it is possible that I am having another false surge. I am on Clomid, so this would be a little early for me to O I think, although anything is possible! Here is a post of my temps:
98
98
97.5 (clomid day 1)
97.3 ( clomid day 2)
98 (clomid day 3)
98.2 (clomid day 4)
98.2 (clomid day 5)
97.9 (estradiol)
97.7 (estradiol)
97.5 (estradiol)
97.8 (+ opk, today cd11- estradiol)

Any thoughts on what could be going on?

hmmm........i think i would BMS tonite if it's possible. i know you had a whacky month last month, but i'd rather err on the side of a false ++ than to find out (maybe via your temps) that you really are O'ing....KWIM?

it does seem a little early, especially since you're taking clomid. but, stranger things have been lnown to happen! good luck!

HI Jessica, Clomid does weird things to ones cycle. I would continue doing the opk's and BMS along with it too when you get a +.

Clomid can cause a false positive in OPKs if taken too soon after finishing the prescription. According to most of the manufacturers you should wait at least 3 days before using an OPK. If you take Clomid days 3-7 you can begin testing on day 10. If you take it 5-9, you should wait until day 12.

Thinking ++++++++++thoughts
Good luck!!!

Hi Jessica: I agree...BMS as if it's a true ++ OPK, but watch your temps in case it isn't!

Stacy-ann, I'd never heard that about testing too soon with an OPK after Clomid! Interesting....

Anyway, good luck, Jessica, and keep us posted!

Oh Jess, these weird cycles are the pits!
I don't know anything about clomid and am fairly new to this bbt/opk stuff, so I can't really comment. My feeling is that if there's good cm, then bms.

I can say that a friend of mine O'd somewhere around cd 8 after having a m/c (she still had light spotting) - wasn't even trying so soon, just regular spontaneous sex (not that I can even remember what that is right now, but know it did exist at one time ), and ended up getting pg with her daughter, so I guess anything is possible.

I hope it all works out!

We'll my temp was 98.2 this morning, although we were up very late last night, and my sleep pattern wasn't normal, so that me effect it some. I'm on cd12 and I also had another + opk today, it's a dollar tree test, do you think that is okay?

Anyway, I guess I will just continue to watch my temps and opk, we will get to the bottom of it sooner or later!

Jessica: I don't know about that brand ++OPK, but this could well be a true surge.... as you say, you'll know more if you keep temping ... definitely keep BMSing too.... is dh around this weekend? I hope so!

Best of luck and keep us posted++++++++
Maura
p.s. I would not trust today's temp since you were up late last night... let's see what tomorrow's looks like though.

Hi sweet Maura!

Yes my dh is in town, yeah! I actually do feel like this is the real thing, I had clear ewcm this afternoon, and have been feeling little pains in my ovaries all afternoon. We bmsed last night (twice! ) and will again tonight, and maybe in the morning to kick of Easter too! I will keep you posted on my temps. Thanks for taking such good care of me!
