Digital Thermometer?

Just a quick question for anyone. I have a digital bbt thermometer and have been using it for almost a year now..everyday. Is it possible that the battery is going bad? I'm just getting some weird readings on it that just don't seem right. The other day I took my temp in the morning and it was 97.3 and then took it again a few seconds later because I didn't think it was right and it was 98.2??? I don't get it. So I'm just wondering if maybe I should get a new battery or not, I just don't trust it now. This morning the same thing happened 95.6 first....which seems really LOW ....then a few seconds later 98.4. If anyone can help me out that would be great. I have all of the other signs that O occured but the temp thing isn't doing what it usually does. Thanks -Annie

hi annie....

it sounds like your therm might be going a little haywire. that second example is waaaaaay off. i would definitely throw some new batteries in there.

OR....depending on the price of the batteries, you might just consider buying a new therm. i always used a standard (vicks)digital therm from the drugstore. i think they're only about $6-7. it doesn't have to be a "BBT" therm, as long as you use the same one each day.
