Don't think I'm going to O

I broke down and called RE yesterday as I still hadn't O'd. Had me come in for b/w today (CD 30) and my prog. was 0.1 and E2 was 97. I guess the prog. is supposed to be between 0.5 and 2.0 pre-ovulation and over 2.0 after.
It's weird b/c I actually had ewcm yesterday, so I thought I just might O last night even though the OPK was still very light. Temp went up to 97.76 this am from 97.5 yesterday and no more cm, so I was holding on to a little bit of hope this morning, but it was not meant to be. RE advised taking 10 days of prometrium and then waiting for AF. Will continue the OPK and BBT just in case O does happen, but I'm not holding out much hope.
How frustrating!
Robin

hi robin...i'm sorry for your frustration. it's understandable tho. it's ironic, when not TTC getting AF every 4 weeks seems never ending...when TTC the cycles can't go quickly enough when you're waiting and wanting to move on to the next one.

Robin,
I'm so sorry for your disappointment.
Dina is right, it just seems neverending, doesn't it?
You are the first one who I've seen who's Dr. has the same progesterone levels as mine. My doctor said it needed to be greater than 2, everyone else here is like 20-25! It must be the labs and their unit of measure or something, I just don't get it. Are you using opk's? Maybe next cycle you should try them. I have a friend who just got pregnant a few months ago after finally getting the opks. They had just been missing O because she didn't have any cm or anything to indicate O. Maybe your a late, late ovulater! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
(Me crossing my fingers)

Keep us posted on how everything is going, and hopefully AF, or O, show up soon so you can get this show on the road!

((((((HUGS)))))))

jessica....don't let all the different numbers confuse you. the "over 2" that they're looking for is to verify that O has occurred. the higher numbers they like to see is if conception occurred and the healthy range of progesterone needed to sustain a pg. if conception didn't occur, then progesterone will rise, peak and fall back again. with pg it needs to stay up. did that make sense , or did i confuse he isse more?

Dina, No you didn't confuse me!
I will be sure to address that with my doctor when I talk to him! My temp did drop to 97.3 today, so I am 100% confident its AF, which is a bit of a relief in a way, now I can start focusing on the upcoming cycle.

Bye!

Thanks for your replies! It is never ending!
Jessica, I am doing the OPKs and have had a light line that has come and gone and come back again since cd 20. Of course, today it was a bit darker than yesterday, but still very light and no where near being half as dark as the control line.
Started the prometrium last night and will continue to opk for a few more days just in case.
I just don't understand why I would get ewcm one night and then dry up the next with no O. My hormones must be really out of whack!
Oh well...
Anyone have experience with BBTing while on prometrium? How am I supposed to track that as my temps will be higher, no? This morning it was 97.9, but I know it was due to the prometrium and not O (I think).

Robin,

I had a cycle like that a couple of months ago, where I never got a definite LH surge, it was just lighter then darker, then lighter all month, never being darker then the test line. So annoying! Then last month, I got my pos opk, and didn't ovulate, I guess they call that a false surge! Anyway, I quite opking after that and then O'd a week later, I think. Also, I had ewcm both times, during the false LH surge, and at O. Maybe your body is doing some major waxing and waning in LH dept. Surge baby Surge!

Anyway, I haven't taken prometrium, is that progesterone? I was on Progesterone vaginal suppositories last cycle, and I think it did make my temp go up a little. I will pray that things turn around for you soon! As always, Keep me posted!

Well, temps are staying solid at 97.9 since starting the prometrium. OPK sticks are still faint. CM is wet and creamy off and on, but no more ew since that one day. DH is sick, so he doesn't want to pass his cold on to me with BMS if it's not optimal. My body just can't seem to decide what to do and I don't know what to tell him.
This is cd33 and day 4 of prometrium (oral progesterone). If I don't O by Easter, I think I may extend the prometrium one or two more days as I have a consult with new RE on the 29th and I don't want AF for that as I have to do an exam and u/s and I HATE it when I have AF and they have to do those things. Hopefully the new RE will be able to give me another opinion and tell me which path he thinks I should take with all this.

Thanks again for your replies and listening to me whine about my neverending cycle!!

Robin

omg robin dont even worry abou the whine department, i think i have that one covered , and trust me i know its hard to get your hopes up, because you dont want the fall out if your wrong, but deep down we all have that little hope(we wouldnt be here if we didnt!) so just latch on to that, we know our bodies better than anyone, esp. some man made pee stick , but still we get a little OCD about it ( i think no one more than me sometimes)but thats what were all here for for you
