well im now in 4 dpo, or at least i think my temps have been above my coverline97.6 on cd19&20, and 97.7 on cd 21&22. so i guess this is it then? this is the first month for me temping and well actively ttc, we had been just "not preventing" for 1 1/2 yr. so did i o, i guess i did, had pogest drawn yest on cd21 and will again in another few days to make a 7 day po draw. any idea what i should be looking for? what the typical numbers should be 3dpo and then 7dpo? i think they shoud go up, but by how much?...better yet what should i WANT them to be
anyone else out there in the same boat? went to the 2ww boards, but a lot of ivf and iui in there...and i REALLY know nothing about that and to all the mods, you guys have been soooo helpful

just a side note and question...could i have low pogest? when compared to other women my temps all seen real low, averaging 97.0-97.2 pre o and only 97.6-97.7 post o, everyone elses seem so much higher past o, and pre o for that matter is this just another way my body is outside the norm but working fine, or should i be worried?...well if nothing else it just gives me one more thing to obsess over

Hi there
. For a level after O but before it peaks, I think you look for anything over 5 (although some labs might have a lower or higher threshold) ... for 7 dpo, you would be looking for anything 10 or higher (and some doctors like to see 15 or even 20 for pg) ... As long as your post-O temps are above your coverline you're probably fine, although sometimes temps after O that kind of hug your coverline suggest low prog. (not always true though!) .... and your temps overall are not all that low (there's a wide variation of normal). If you are concerned, you can ask your doctor for a full thyroid panel because sometimes low temps indicate a problem with the thyroid (actually, it's a good idea for anyone with IF issues to make sure that the thyroid is functioning properly!). I have to run but if I haven't answered one of your questions, I'll come back and do it later! +++++++++++++++++good luck Maura |

hi rudy....aaahhh, the dreaded 2ww...the longest 2 weeks in history
i agree with what maura said....your temps could just be normal for you. or they could suggest low progest and/or thyroid issues. you're still falling into the normal range, just at the lower end. i'm not in the 2ww....but i'll be glad to tuff it out with you!

when i had my bloodwork done on day 3 they did a fastibg thyroid panal on me, and that all came back normal, so thyroid is all normal, guess my body is just pretty efficent at keeping all the systems going...or im just wierd, think its the latter
