Af

hello Ladies!

Well I think that what is happening is AF, I am really bleeding today, the only thing is my temp hasn't gone down. Do you think that is because of the progesterone I am taking?

I am going to call my Doctor in the morning because he isn't in the office today. I am supposed to start on the Clomid again tomorrow. Any thoughts on what I should be asking him? Other than the 7day LP . I am so bummed because our timing was so good with O!

Any thoughts or comments appreciated!

i'm sorry jessica. i know how fustrating and disppointing it is.

do you have a history of BBT'ing? if so, what dd your temps used to do before AF? if you're not familiar with BBT'ing, i can tell you that many women don't get their temp dop until AF has actual arrived, and for some, even a few days into it.

on that note, i'd also like to add that progest does keep your temps elevated, so it's possible it's from that too.

i think your short LP is your priority right now. is this typical for you? if not, then i wouldn't be too worried. i get AF strangely early usually once a year. usually in the spring if this is a pttern that you're npoticing, then you MUST address it with your doc. LPD will prevent you from maintainng a pg, even if conception occurs. it's also easily treated.

let us know what your doc says.

Hi Dina! This is my first month temping, so I really don't know when my temp goes down. Also, I have very irregular cycles, 32 days has been the shortest since i went off of my birth control. I didn't have periods at all on birth control. I have never really had regular cycles, but I do know that THIS is not normal for me. Particularly, my pms symptoms have been much worse than normal. My face broke out, I have had terrible cramps, and oh Boy... HAVE I BEEN IRRITABLE! But... I am trying to keep things in perspective!

I will let you know what my Dr. says...

jessica...all the PMS symptoms you describe are also a common side affect of taking progesterone. it didn't bother me (anymore than reguar pms bothered me ) but i know many wome would get very nasty side affects from it.

aaaahhhh...the things we women have to go thru...i tell ya!

please give us an update when you speak to your doc. good luck!

Jessica: I hope that this isn't really AF... and I hope you can connect with your doctor... if this is AF, then I agree with Dina that you need to figure out a way to extend your LP...

I'm so sorry that this cycle has been so hard!

GOod luck and keep us posted++++++++

Hi Jessica(((((HUGS))))))) I am sorry you are aee the AF or what seem to be AF. I hope this isn't the case hon'.

Your LP is too short also. A normal luteal phase is approximately 12 - 16 days and needs to be at least 10 days for implantation to take place. A short luteal phase can cause fertility problems making it difficult for a women to get pregnant.

The progesterone would lengthen your LP not shorten it. Clomid or progesterone suppositories would correct a luteal phase defect . I am not saying that you have LPD but if it continues to be short then have it checked out.

That said I am praying for ++++++++thoughts this cycle and keep us posted ok.

Good luck!

Stacy-ann,

I am so puzzled because I was on progesterone suppositories and I still started AF... Figure that one out. I am waiting for my Doctor to call me back, so I will see what he says. My temp did drop to 97.5 today...

No, but I told him I would be out after 12, so I have a feeling that he got the message after noon and will call me in the morning, how frustrating is that? Especially since I have been home since 3 and have been sitting by the phone!

I will check in as soon as I hear anything, Thanks for checking on me, your so sweet!

jessica....although progesterone can cause a delay in AF, it won't keep it away altogether if it's going to come. if your still getting AF too early (even with the progest) it might be as simple as your doc giving you a higher mg of progest. let us know what happens when you talk to him.
