slow temp rise??????
okay im back and even more anal than ever, if someone could tell me what you think about these temps,
cd12 97.0 cd13 97.0 cd14 97.2 cd15 97.2 cd16 97.0 cd17 97.1 cd18 97.2 and there i am, ive heard that your temp will slightly rise and then fall at o and then rise again right after o if i connect the dots its showing pretty much a steady line at 97.0 some 97.1 and 96.9 but nothing to speak of until it jumped .2 of a degree on cd14 and stayed the same for 2 days then dropped .2 a degree on cd16 only to have gained .1 degree everyday since. could it be that my temp is just slow to rise after o. also my cm has been pretty pentiful the last week, but no ewcm, just a lot of super creamy that would stretch but only a few times and then would stop, i know this is probably a side effect of the clomid, but today nothing, pretty thick and very opaque will not stretch, seems like it changed overnight, am i going insane or am i just trying to bring something to an exact science that it will never be. thanks guys have to get ready for dd b-day party shes six today big day, bye for now

hi rudy....happy b-day to dd! i hope you all have a wonderful day!
based on the temps that you provided, it doesn't look like O has occurred yet. you are in fact looking for an increase of approximately 2/10ths or more, but you're also looking for your temp to remain at the increased level. although it's very common to get a fallback in temps after O, there's a distinct level of increasede temps after O. keep in mind also that clomid tends to make many woman O on the later side. anywhere between cd 17-21 is considered normal for clomid users. it's very possible that you'll O within the next couple of days. do you use OPK's in conjunction with temping? P.S. you're right. i've also heard many women say that while taking clomid they never really produced the typical EWCM that you look for prior to O. clomid has a drying affect for many women, so don't go by that either. if you're not OPK'ing, it might be beneficial for you to give that a try, seeing as tho the clomid can confuse the signals best of luck!

rudy...LOL. unfortunately when you're TTC, and it's taking a long time at that, things do tend to start feeling very clinical
sometimes you have to push the "BMS" aside and forget why you're doing it, and just do it b/c you want to...KWIM?

okay now what do you think??? should i get my hopes up, temp this morning was 97.6. this was the most its jumped all cycle, im upset though, i think its too late for bms at this point and the last time we did was on cd15 and if i did o that means it would have been on cd18 (its the day right before the temp spike right?) because my spike was on cd19. is it too late now????thanks guys, your great you dont mind everyones compulsions

Hi there: If your temp now stays up above 97.3 (which would be your coverline if you did O), then I think you ovulated yesterday. If you can BMS today (as soon as possible), I would because depending on when you ovulated yesterday (if you did
), the egg can stick around for 12-24 hours after O. As for your BMS on cd 15, there's a chance that that could work too because sperm can live up to 3 days depending on how fertile your cm was at the time.Bottom line, I would definitely BMS today to try and catch the tail end of an O yesterday and in case today's temp is a fluke and you haven't O'd yet. Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++ Maura |

it's nice to hear about a doctor with a sense of humor
and don't worry about sharing too much here....no such thing as that or shame when TTC...you just let it all hang out
