Oh you ladies are so awesome. Thanks for caring. So far everything looks good but I won't know the final report until next week sometime. They have to review the pics of the old ticker and send final report to my primary doc.

Maura.........I have been having some symptoms of onset Angina so they want to make sure nothing was blocked.

As soon as I get the report I will update.

Stacy-ann, I had no idea! Oh my! What are your symptoms? And what tests did you have run? I hope they come out ok!!

I'm having some heart checks run as well, oddly enough. I've been having noticeable arrhythmia when I work out... I've had it on and off throughout my life, but it seems to have picked up lately. So, I'll be wearing a Holter monitor for 24 hours next week, followed by an EKG the week after. My doctor thinks it's all probably related to caffeine consumption even though I was having only one cup a day and maybe these symptoms will disappear now that I'm off it again? We'll see.

So, I'll update you when I get my test results back too!

Hi maura, I still haven't gotten my results as yet. The Cardiologist said he will send his final report by the end of this week.

The symptoms I feel sometimes are pressure in my chest and sharp pains. I also get the pains between my shoulder blades, numbness that starts at my fingers(only on one side though)and it travels up my entire arm. It feesl like indigestion too.

My EKG was "norml" but my doc said it doen't pick up everything so to be on the safe side he wanted me to do the Thalium stress test. I always feel the discomfort when I am at "rest" (not active).

My mom was dx with coronary artery disease (CAD) in 03', the most common type of heart disease. CAD occurs when plaque builds up in the coronary arteries. This buildup of plaque is called atherosclerosis. As plaque builds up, the coronary arteries become narrow and stiff. Blood flow to the heart is reduced. This decreases the oxygen supply to the heart muscle. She had an Angioplasty done.

I had a CBC done and that was good. I am sure all is ok with you hon'. Yes, please keep me updated ok and I will do the same.
