Hi Lisa. I don't know if you'll see this post or not, but I wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and wondering how things are going. Anxious for an update when you've got a second!

All the best++++++++++++

Wow! I just came here to poke around and possibly ask a question, and here is sweet Maura asking about me Thank you!

Well....there's no update really. My RE is pretty much done with me and figuring I'll mc. He has had a pretty negative attitude from the start b/c he insists if you o past cd21 the likelihood of getting pg in the first place is slim. Well, hello?!? Didn't I prove that part wrong (as have many others here?) I tried to give him all the information that I had, including the fact that I had what I believed was implantation spotting 3 days before my ++ beta (and about 11-12dpo). He said that implantation spotting was a "myth" and has pretty much discredited my theory that I have a late implanter in there. Anyway....a week has gone by and I haven't mc'd yet. He had said to call him in 2w if I hadn't or if I changed my mind and wanted a d&c. I won't change my mind on that.

What I decided to do was to make an appt. with my OB a couple of weeks from now. If I mc I will cancel. If not, he can tell me what's going on in there. I guess I am all done with my RE seeing as he pretty much dismissed me.

Sorry this is turning into a book. Here is my question. Could the fact that I am still taking the progesterone be keeping me from mc'ing? I have 5 days left of my prescription but I also have refills. I am torn as to what to do. As of today I was thinking I'll stop after these next five days and see what my body does. But I have changed my mind here and there. Any advice on this topic is welcome.

I have to say I am going a little crazy here and already thinking of moving that OB appt. so it's sooner. If things are on track from last week it would make me 7w3d today.

Thanks for reading if you got this far!

Hugs, Lisa

Hi Lisa. I'm so glad that things are still status quo because every day that goes by without incident is a good sign!

I don't know about whether prog. supps would prevent a m/c... my guess is no, but I don't know for sure. What I would do now is get an appointment with your OB and get an exam. Your OB can tell you whether your cervix is closed or open and generally check you out. He/she can also order two betas, which your RE is refusing to do, and/or an u/s to see whether there's a h/b. You don't need your RE! Especially one who is being so dismissive .

And your OB can tell you whether to keep taking progesterone and whether it could be preventing a m/c.

I'm sending you continuing ++++++++++s that this all works out! All the best and keep in touch.
++++++++++++++++

hi lisa......

i agree with maura (and you) about trying to getter a sooner appt with your OB. maybe you can even get a phone consult and bring them up to date and ask about the progesterone.

glad to hear you're moving on from the RE...he sounds like a total jerk!

please let us know what happens.

P.S. my sister got pg 3x after O on cd's 21, 23 and 20 something. she's just a late O'er, it never hindered her pg's or births.

Much love and hugs and plenty of prayers comming your way!!!
