Could you please look at my BBT numbers?!?

Hello Wonderful Moderators!

Below are my BBT numbers for the first half of a dIUI cycle. I was wondering when you think ovulation occurred based on it. I feel like things were timed well but would love confirmation or otherwise so I am not flasely deluding myself.

I was doing Repronex injections on Days 3 - 10.

CD 3: 97.16
CD4: 96.86
CD5: 97.02
CD6:97.01
CD7:96.86
CD8:96.86
CD9: 96.86
CD 10: was sick and vommitting so temp was off
CD11: 96.93
CD12: 96.74: HCG trigger shot
CD13: 97.15 dIUI at 2:45 PM
CD14: 97.52 dIUI at 8:45 AM
CD15: 97.61

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! Kelly

Hi Kelly: I can't tell without cd 10's temp whether you ovulated on cd cd 12 or cd 13...assuming your cd 10 would not have been higher than 96.93, I see O on cd 12, with a coverline of 97.03... but if your temp on cd 10 was higher, then I see O on cd 13.

What time was your trigger on cd 12? I'm wondering if we can further pinpoint O based on that.

Let me know what you think. All the best and keep us posted+++++++++

Thank you so much for looking at my info! I did the trigger shot at 8:45 PM on Sunday night. I would be really surprised if I had O'd on that day before the shot. If so, then the timing of our dIUI was really off, which worries me. MY CM seemed to suggest O on CD 13.

Also, since I did have 3 mature follies could I have o'd at different times during the course of those few days?

As for my CD 10 number, I literally had a fever so it was around 99.5, way off the mark, so it is of no use.

Any more ideas based on this info? And thanks very much for your help!!! I really do appreciate it. Kelly

Hi Kelly: Since you did the shot at night, I too would be surprised if you ovulated before then on that day. That combined with your cm, makes me think you O'd on cd 13. But even if you did O on cd 12 -- very late at night -- it seems to me that the timing would still be good for your DIUI because the egg can stick around for up to 24 hours post-O.

I think either way you're covered, but I'm leaning towards cd 13 based on your cm and the timing of the shot.

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted+++++++++

Maura: I am so sorry to bother you again but I am trying to make sense of this BBT chart myself!!

How did you arrive at the 97.03 coverline? I was thinking that it was 97.16, since I did have that on CD 3. Then the temp on CD 13 would not actually be a rise but the temp on CD 14 would be, indicating O on CD 13.

Also I had thought that the rise had to be .4 - 1.0 greater than the coverline, which my CD 13 is not.

I feel badly for bothering you again but I have thoroughly confused myself and would appreciate any help!!

THANKS!!

Hi Kelly! Don't worry... you're not bothering me! I'm here to help any way I can and I love looking at temps!

I have cut and pasted your questions because it's easier that way:

For traditional bbt-ing, you look back at only the last 6 temps before your rise, so the temps I was looking at were your temps for cds 7-13... you then look at the highest temp of those 6 and draw your coverline .1 degree above the highest of those temps.... since your highest temp for cds 7-13 was your 96.93 on cd 11, I drew your coverline at 97.03.

When looking for an ovulatory rise, you usually look for a rise that is .2 degree higher than the highest of your 6 temps preceding the rise. So, when trying to find out the 6 temps to use, I found that there was a rise on cd 13 that was .22 higher than the highest temp (cd 11) of the preceding 6 temps (cds 7-12). That's why cd 12 was in the running as a possible O day.

There is another rise on cd 14 that was .37 higher than the preceding 6 temps (cds 8-13), which is why cd 13 is another possible O day.

It's common to have a couple of possible O days when looking at a chart. That's why it's good to have other information to help decide which day it was. Cm is a great indicator of O, since cm tends to dry up after O. Also, as I mentioned before, that missing temp on the day you were sick could have swung us over to cd 13 O if the temp was higher than 96.93, which it easily could have been.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

GOod luck+++++++++
