Temps and Luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome

Hi all!
Just wondering if the follicle develops but the egg is not released, do temps still go up?
I had a scan on day 12 which showed a follie of 16mm. Today is day 18. I feel that the follie did not release egg as I have ache on ovary for past few days. I sometimes get cysts. I have had a slight shift in temp yesterday and today, but not as much as I would have liked!!
Anybody heard of this?
Best wishes to all, Liz

Hi Liz: My understanding is that with LUFS, your temp WOULD go up... the only way with LUFS to know whether you've ovulated is with an u/s. Are you going to have another u/s? You probably know already that LUFS is pretty rare, so it's more likely that you will ovulate this cycle... you may not have already though. What do your temps look like?

All the best and keep in touch+++++++++

My recent temps are:

Day 15: 97.02 (Fertile friend says I ovulated on this day with a coverline of 97.14 )
Day 16: 97.32
Day 17: 97.5
Day 18: 97.52

What do you think?

Thanks, Liz

Liz: You certainly have a nice rise on cd 16 and your temps have stayed up since then. What were your temps like before cd 15? Were they all below, say 97.12? If so, then I agree that cd 15 was O day and think that your temps look great.

The aching you feel could definitely be a leftover cyst from ovulation. That type of cyst is normal.

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++
