HPT Question

Hi -- I posted this question on the IVF board, but am wondering if anyone on this board has an answer (or even an opinion!!)

I did an HPT this morning that was positive immediately. I did a day 5 transfer on 2/22 so my HCG shot was on 2/15. Is there any chance that I can believe these results? Shouldn't my HCG shot be out of my system by now?

I have always been an HPT-addict (I wish there was a support group for my type of person!!) so I just couldn't help myself. I've never gotten "false" results before -- even when I hoped to get them (like when I took a test a few days after my HCG shot with our IUIs -- just to boost my confidence -- still got a negative when it was negative!!) My beta is on Friday.

Any thoughts?

well i'd say CONGRATULATIONS are in order!!!!!

if you took a trigger on 2/15, there's very little chance that your ++ is from that. generally speaking the hcg clears your system within 10 days. even if it took a little longer, it would be 12 days at most. you're still even past that! so i think you can confidently believe your hpt.
