Maura,
Do you think it makes a difference when you ovulate from when you take the Clomid? I took mine on days 3-7, I have noticed that some women do not take it until days 5-9, do you think that is why they ovulate a little bit later in the cycle? Or maybe that doesn't have anything to do with it, I don't know. Now look who's rambling! I will keep you posted on my temps. CM seems to be drying up today, a lot thicker and "stiffer" kwim? Sorry if tmi! Thanks, Jessica

Jessica: I wonder if taking Clomid earlier affects when you ovulate... I'll have to keep my eye out for that ... if I see anything on it, I'll let you know
.Your cm drying up is a sign that O has happened, so it'll be interesting to see what you temp is tomorrow. And as for "too much information" -- well, there is no such thing here .Take care and check in tomorrow if you can +++++++Maura |

Okay , i know I am not supposed to temp more than once, but i just couldn't help myself! I used the same thermometer I have been using again and got 97.3, then I used my new thermometer because all of the sudden I am worried about the old one(still haven't gotten a new battery) and it said my temp was 97.1, which would appear to be a dip, but what about my + opk, and fertile cm? (which has since dried up)
This is all so confusing!!!! Any ideas of why it is all so whacky? |

Jessica: While it's possible that today's temp is a temporary fallback, it's also possible that you didn't ovulate yet. If so, then that ++OPK you got on cd 10 was a false positive, like we talked about last night.
I know you don't want the worry of O hanging over your head any more, particularly since dh is out of town until Friday, but I think if you haven't ovulated yet that you won't until he gets back. As I said before, most women I know on Clomid ovulate between cd 14 and 20 (or later). And dh will be home on cd 14, right? The cm drying up could just be a result of the Clomid, which has a tendency to make things drier. Also, it could just be a sign that you're not fertile right now (which is good, because dh is not here!), but it doesn't mean that the cm won't come back when you become fertile again (assuming you haven't O'd yet). If it's not going to drive you crazy, I would start OPKing again today and definitely keep temping. That way you'll have all the information possible at your disposal. I'm betting you're going to get another ++OPK and that your cm will return a little bit later on in your cycle. And BMS when dh comes home! Good luck and try not to get stressed. You'll get to the bottom of this cycle soon .+++++++++++++++ Maura |

yep....what she said!!!
mauar gave you a great suggestion. i'm sorry this cycle is so confusing...i hate when that happens! P.S. jessica...you will drive yourself nuts going back and forth between therm's. they're bound to be a little different. and i know every little bit counts to us, but when you think about it, having a therm be a few 10th's of a degree off from another therm is expected. that's why we stress consistancy with one therm. i remember when my digi therm was giving me consistant readings for like a week...i swore there was something wrong with it...i didn't replace the batteries, i just bought a whole new one think i was a little obsessed?

Okay, okay, I know, I'm very bad with the therms... I'll stop I promise
.Hopefully Dh will be able to make it home tonight, then he will be back again on Friday, cd 14, 15, 16, and leave early 4:30 on Cd 17, Monday for a week. So hopefully I will O this weekend if I haven't already. I will get out to buy yet ANOTHER pkg. of opks tomorrow, I have 1 left that i will take this afternoon. Does it really matter what time you take it? Just so long as it is around the same time everyday, right? Jessica

actually the experts suggest taking OPK's in the afternoon...somewhere between 1-4. i think the reason behind that is that generally LH surges in the afternoon so OPK'ing in the early morning may prompt you to miss your surge.
good luck!
