Question About BBT.......

I have been charting my temperature since the day of my IUI (02/14). It has gone from 97.1 to 98.2 as of yesterday morning. This morning, my temperature was 97.9. Is that bad? I had light spotting first thing yesterday morning, but it didn't last long. AF was supposed to come on the 22nd, but thank God she hasn't shown her ugly face yet!! My progesterone was 15 on Monday. My RE doubled my progesterone intake at night. I don't go back to my doctor until the 28th for confirmation as to whether or not the IUI worked.

Hi Jeanette, I wouldn't worry too much especially since AF hasn't showed her ugly face and I pray she stays away too.

Temperatures may show a "fallback rise" pattern. In a fallback rise pattern the temperature rises significantly and abruptly as you would expect, but then it drops again immediately before it rises again and is sustained throughout the luteal phase. How long is your LP normally? Seeing that you passed the day AF was to come that is still promising news.

I wonder what your temp was this morning. Hang in there ok. Please continue to keep us posted.

Hi Jeanette! I guess today is the day you might be finding out some news.... please come tell us how you made out! Fingers crossed for you!

As for your temping question (just for future reference that I hope you don't need and for others who might read this thread), am I correct in understanding that you didn't start temping until the day of your IUI? For a bbt chart to give you the information you need, you need to start temping at least 6 days before ovulation and so starting on the day of your IUI (which should be pretty close to ovulation) probably did not give you enough days of temping to see your thermal shift.

Starting to temp on cd 1 or at least as soon as you've finished AF should give you the temps you need leading up to O so that you can see the whole picture.

Hi! Okay, so I'm waiting for my RE's office to call me with my results. Ugh! My temperature is back at 98.2. Usually, my temperature is 97.1. I know you should start charting the first day of your cycle, but I couldn't find my BBT so I had to go buy another one.

AF hasn't shown her ugly face yet and she should've been here on the 22nd. I am hoping that is a good sign.

I'll let ya'll know as soon as I get the call.....well, after I tell my DH who is so anxious!

Hello ladies! Well, my beta results are in. I got a BFP result! I am still in shock. One thing, my beta was only 11 today. The MA doesn't know if maybe my implantation was later than we thought or if my HCG level is just low. I go back in on Wednesday morning for my 2nd Beta. They want to see it at 40 - 50 if not higher! So, fingers still crossed & prayers still being done!

I'll let ya'll know!
