Follicle Scan Results

My lining was 11mm and I had one good follicle but it was too big for me to get the HCG injection. My follie was 34.5mm. I go back friday for another scan to see how it looks. The nurse said that the Dr. said if he gave me the shot it could make the follicle collapse. Anyone know what all this means??? Can I o on my own without the shot? and if I do, can they tell by a follicle scan?

Hi Aimee: I don't know anything about the shot/collapse issue, but I'm pretty sure that you can ovulate on your own without the shot and the can tell from an ultrasound whether you've O'd on your own.

hi aimee...i also unfortunately don't have any info re: the follie situation. i wanted to tell you tho, i agree with maura in that you can probably O on your own. if they can't tell that from the scan, they can always do b/w to check.

are you temping and OPK'ing?

I took OPK and it had a very, very faint line. The past two cycles I didn't get a + until cd13... so I will do one today.

Sorry about the trigger shot thing. I don't know much about a follie being too big, but better too big than too small! Your lining looks great too. ( You're on clomid right?) Just keep doing those OPK's until you see the surge. Good luck Friday.

I go for ultrasound Fri. also, I'll let ya know.

Yeah, I took clomid this cycle. I took another OPK and the line is darker but it still isn't + I don't think. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the shot and everything is good. Good luck tomorrow and let me know how it goes.
