Update (pg ment)

Hi everyone~

It's been awhile since I posted here, so I thought I would give you an update.
I am 22 weeks pg and we are having a boy! We are very excited about our soon to be lil guy!

My pg is going well, except for the normal aches and pains and emotional stuff! Our lil guy was dx with hydronephrosis (enlarged kidney due to blockage) in the right kidney. The peri said everything else looked healthy, so we are very excited about that! The peri wanted me to have an amnio to rule out any chromosomal defects, but we decided it wasn't worth the risk. My AFP came back normal stating 1 in 10,000, so I'm holding on to that!
The baby is moving a lot now, which is so amazing and reassuring! We haven't come up with a name yet, but that's not weird for us!

I was 9 mos. pg before we came up with our dd's name!

michelle...things sound like they're moving along well. congrats on your boy!! i think i've known other people to have kidney issues with their babies with a good outcome.

we didn't come up with a name for our ds until about 10 days before his birth.

Oh my a little boy!! I am so happy for you! I never thought having a boy would be as fun as it is but, I have to tell ya, it's great! I just know everything is going to be ok w/ him and I will be praying for you. It's a little halfway over already! That baby will be here before you know it! Thanks for the update.

! Thanks for the update! I'm glad to hear your pg is going so well. You know, one of our u/s with our dd showed the same thing with her kidney ... but at the next u/s, the issue had resolved and dd was born perfectly healthy (and healthily perfect

).

Good luck on your quest for a name... we didn't know our ds's name for sure until he was born and we got a good look at him!
