Hi, my wife and I are have gone through IVf with IXCy. She is due for her prenancy test at the dr.'s office on wedsday. Well yesterday (Sunday morning) she took a home pregnancy test 4 days early and it was negative. Kinda got us bothed bummed out.
Anyway do you think its way to early to test? Im just bummed out and kinda hoping its normal for the test to show negative. thanks in advance

Hi there
! Welcome to the bb . DON'T lose hope... taking an HPT early can easily lead to a false negative! I don't know how many days post transfer your dw was yesterday, but I'm guessing if her beta is scheduled for Wednesday, that she might have only been 11 days post transfer. That's so early still! Implantation could still be taking place and therefore, if pg, her HcG level could be undectable by an HPT.What brand did she use? When testing early, you should use the HPT with the highest sensitivity level. Here is a chart with HPT sensitivity level: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html . If I were you (or her !) and you want to test with another HPT before the beta, I would try to wait until tomorrow to test. And if it's still negative, it's still not over! Up to 10% of pg women will get a false negative when testing at the time AF is due.I wish you and your dw the very best for this cycle. Please come back and let us know how you do, ok?! GOOD LUCK +++++++++++Maura |

yes, i agree with maura. it's very possible it's still too early. i had tested (already a day late for AF) and got a (false) neg. i retested about 4-5 days later and got an immediate +++.
it's never over till it's over!!! good luck to the both of you!!!!!

I agree with Maura and Dina about dw might be testing early. I tested early too and got a - and waited a few days and got a +++. Remember it isn't over until the witch shows and I pray she stays away.
Sending millions of ++++++++ & sticky thoughts. Good luck!!! Please keep us posted.
