Calling all fellow couponers, grocery geeks, bargain hunters...

Is anyone interested in doing a weekly shopping thread? A couple of other sites I visit do something similar, it can be very interesting and inspirational to see how others are doing.

We could talk about specific deals we found that week-- ie 10 bottles of V05 shampoo for $2 (on sale for $1, used a $3 off $10 H&B purchase, then used 5 .50/2 coupons that were doubled = $2)

and/or

how much we saved that week from couponing & store sales-- ie total before coupons $186.xx
after coupons $86.xx
TOTAL SAVINGS $100.xx

BTW, the above examples are from my shopping trip a few days ago . I'm quite proud of myself!

we could also incorporate the deals we find at CVS, Walgreens, etc into this thread.

So is anyone else up for it? Tell me I'm not the only one here who is completely addicted to all of this stuff!

Yes!

I should think this should be a save haven to be "boring" and talk about our coupon deals LOL!

I'm getting ready to go get some free Tidy Cats cat litter at Albertson's and I'll be thrilled to brag about it! They have it on sale for $1 and I have $1/1 coupons (lots of them) and I can stock up!

A few mos ago, I stocked up on 20 bags of FREE Tidy Cats litter, I still have 20 more coupons that don't expire til 10/31, just hoping that it goes on sale again before then!

My goal is to never pay more than pennies a bag (the cost of buying coupons on ebay or a clipping site) for litter again..lol!

Great idea! I'll share some CVS clearance deals I found this weekend. They had Aquafresh extreme(?) for $.87, minus the coupon in today's paper for $1
Aquafresh 2pack toothbrushes for $1.xx, minus $1coupon from today's paper, Crest Spinbrush for $1.49...no coupon I could find. Colgate Barbie toothbrushes $.87, minus $.75 coupon, not sure what week

Hope someone can find these too

Can I join? I'm a coupon freak. I'm a good 10-15 minute drive from my local stores but am so crazy that tomorrow I'm driving about 40 minutes away to a store that doubles 1.00 coupons. (I have to be down there for something else, so I'm combining the trip).

Last time I went I had 86.00 in my cart and after club and coupons I spent 24. I only had 1 week worth of coupons at the time. Now I have a months worth...can't wait to see how I do

One of my stores was running triple coupons last week. You are allowed only six and you can only triple coupons up to .99 cents. I tripled my No Yolks coupon and got a couple of bags of noodles for .09! Quaker Oats were on sale for .99 so I tripled the .25 coupon for that and I also tripled the Carnation Evaporated milk .50 cent coupon off 2. I was really happy with the milk and oats because I am trying to stock up on holiday baking staples.

Norma, we have 2 stores that do triples and usually on different weeks Same deal-.99 only and only 6. I used mine last week and got a free box of cereal bars, granola bars and a few others things.

Great idea about xmas baking. Its been a few years since I was able to do much, but maybe this year
