Holly, Karen, Norma and any other coupon clippers-- how do you organize your coupons?
I'm being over run with coupons (which is a good thing and a bad thing
). When I got serious about using coupons, I started using a med. sized photo album (the kind with pockets, that allows you to slip photos in & out). But it's not too sturdy, so some of the pockets are starting to tear. I now also have WAYYYYY to many coupons to keep clipping and storing all of them that way. I think I'm going to try a 3 ring binder next, then I'll be able to slip whole coupon packets into a clear page protector. I subscribe to the grocery game, so I keep & date all the coupon packets, that should make finding specific coupons that show up on the list easier to find. Just wondering how the rest of you handle coupon organization and storage?

Barging here...
But just wanted to share how my mom organizes her coupons-She has an old baby wipe container that she uses! She made dividers for the different sections- Baby Items, Baking Needs/Condiments, Breakfast, etc. She literally has hundreds and hundreds of coupons and she always saves an amazing amount of money when she grocery shops!!

I use a small rubbermaid container that I got at the dollar store. It's the shape of a square. I also bought index cards and made my own categories...hair, makeup, dairy, frozen foods, etc. It's perfect for me. I'll try to get a pic later, it's in the van dh is using at the moment.
It also has sections for rebate forms, restaraunt coupons, store coupons, etc

I LOVE the clear plastic organizer that is made for "cancelled checks" that I got at Office Depot. I just put little sticky things on the various sections (there are 12 for the 12 months in the year) to organize things. I have baby, dairy, meats, beverages, breakfast foods, condiments, pastas, frozen foods, to name a few categories. It's great because it's sturdy and I can customize it and it fits in my PURSE!!!

I'll show you mine, but then you'll see what a serious coupon freak I really am!! I'm totally outing myself as a complete freak!! I get multiples of each insert. Usually around 5 of each and more if there's some good coupons. I file the whole inserts by date and sometimes by the publisher (Valassis, Smart Source).
Then, I keep them in this file box with a pair of scissors and an index (a current list of coupons listed alphabetically - usually just printed out from one of the coupon sites like Cutouthunger.org). The grocery game will usually reference which insert I need to look in for the coupon, but sometimes I'm looking for a specific coupon for a deal that I found, so the index comes in handy. The first pic shows a close up of the files, and the second one has Noelle posing next to the file box so you can get an idea of the size LOL. And excuse the quality of the pics, my camera is acting funny and dh isn't here to bail me out LOL. It's a portable file box with a handle so I can take it to and from my car. I usally keep it in the car in case I'm at a store and find a great deal, I can go out to clip the necessary coups. I also keep an indexed coupon list in my purse for a quick lookup!

I keep my coupons filed alphabetically in a plastic card file. I just couldn't keep them straight when I filed by category.

I have mine in one of those clear cancelled check folders arranged by aisle to the store I use. I title each section (ie cereal, etc) in case I'm shopping elsewhere, but the order in the folder is in the order I shop so that I just pull section by section as I go down the aisles. I usually use the Grocerygame list as my shopping list and then just add the extra items I need.
