Hey CG - good to hear you are taking it easy and recuperating...that's the best thing you can do right now. Hmmm, 23 sounds heavenly - it was a bit warmer than that here (lol), but cooler than yesterday.

Are you very bloated? I hate that bit after EPU - I always have really bad bloating/gas pains/etc...

I think flying would be fine...personally I think the docs in the US do a lot of extra things because they are charging SO much that people expect a lot from them! Both clinics here have told me that there's nothing I can do (again barring hot tubs, alcohol - the obvious no-nos) that will effect the outcome. However - you have to do what you are comfortable with - I always say I don't want to have any doubts...and reason to blame myself if things don't go well.

Yes, we are driving to the Southern Highlands tomorrow - we've never been so I'm really looking forward to it. Cooler weather will be nice too

If I don't get internet access over the weekend - I'll be thinking of you - especially for Monday.

    hi cyn
you will love the southern highlands...they are green at the moment and have nice cool nights.....

our nights have been around 8degrees....bliss...I can still snuggle under the doona...

yes on the bloated part....I feel like a need a really really good fart...lol or a number 2...hope it passes soon....

thanks for your words of reassurance on the flying.. I did a google search...and no evidence for it....interesting I found multiple studies saying bed rest makes absolutely no difference and yet a lot of the us docs are still telling patients to do this...cautious lot...

anyway I have a day in front of the tv planned for tomorrow....
sitting down to a cuppa after a fantastic roast chicken (a woollies-organic macro one..it was a winner.)

    have a great weekend...
enjoy a great few meals and late breakies...

That's great news CG - sounds like they are all going strong - how fabulous for you

Monday will be here before you know it - sounds like flying will keep things a bit simpler and less draining for you. It's always nice to be in your own place

Wow, Feb 12 - you'll only be a few days behind me for testing

After a frantic morning of packing and trying to get on the road before DS's first nap we are all settled in to our little cottage, had a lovely lunch, and I'm now enjoying some peace and quiet while DH and DS son have a nap!! lol I probably ought to have a nanna nap as well, but I hate to pass up some 'me' time!

my day was sooooooo lazy...the pregnyl has reduced my appetite and this old fart pain....phew....a bit constipated as well.
managed a nana nap today as well....and went for a little walk to get my mail...about 1km return...I was exhausted..!!!
all I feel like eating at the moment is icecream...!!!

Hmmm, pregnyl doesn't seem to reduce my appetite - nothing does - LOL! I really suffer with the progesterone though (are you using crinone?) - terrible constipation, gas, etc... bleh Luckily it seems to get better after a week or so - so maybe it was the EPU?? I'm sure the prunes and morning cups of coffee have helped as well!

Wanted to wish you heaps of luck and sticky thoughts for tomorrow. Safe travels

Can't wait to hear how it all goes!

    hi cyn
    thanks for the sticky thoughts......
having a few quiet freak outs....worrying about whether my embies have made it to blasts....although I understand that blasts are natures selection process and if there is any genetic problems like downs syndrome they often do not make it to blast stage...so I find that really reassuring....
At least I will be busy tomorrow with driving and flying and not have time to think to hard.....

not using progesterone and that is a question I want to ask my RE as my progesterone levels always seem to be on the low side in the luteal phase...will prob get a blood test tuesday to check.....
I know that the HCG maintains the corpus luteum and helps keep the progesterone and oestrogen levels up for luteal support...so fingers crossed...
    enjoy sunday......
cant believe I will be on the 2ww tomorrow....

    cheers CG xxxx

    hi cyn
well finally figured out that my ongoing lower abdo pain is a urinary tract infection.....my dr accidently speared my bladder with the ER needle at the time....so prob the cause.....
got a quick test and yep it is confirmed.....so Im on antibiotics ---double the dose.....hopefully it wont interfere with the ET....fingers crossed.......
anyway not long to go now....

Youch!! That sounds awful. I'm sorry you've been in such pain. I hope the AB clears it up right away and I don't think it would interfere w/implantation as you can take them (if necessary) when preggers.

Did they freeze any of your embies at day 3 or are they taking them all to blast? I'm sure some of them made it and it only takes one good one Did you have a chance to check w/your clinic r.e. the AB's?

You must be doing more pregnyl than I did instead of the progesterone. Again, one of those things the docs don't agree on whether it actuallyhelps. My RE doesn't believe in prog. support past those for 12 or so days....she says that a low prog. lvl indicates a failing preg. and that taking prog. won't stop it from happening. But, again, those US doctors prescribe it and test for it like crazy....it's a bit frustrating sometimes not knowing what is the best advice!

Best, best, best of luck tomorrow. And remember, if you just don't feel right about it at all (worried about too many factors) you can always have them freeze all those fabulous blasts and do a natural cycle. I know that would be really disappointing though - especially with the distance factor for you.

(ps - sorry for the typos - no spell check on DH's laptop and I'm lazy )

thanks cyn for all that reassurance
The anitbiotics are safe ones for pregnancy so no worries there, tried to ph clinic but not available after 12pm sunday...eek...
but I took them about 3hrs ago and I think I fell better already...hehe or its just in my head....LOL......

my pregnyl dose is 1500iu...every 3 days... for 12 days post ovulation. I actually read a very involved study that actually proved that theory....if progesterone drops in the luteal phase despite a positive beta it indicates a non viable pregnancy and no amount of support from either progesterone or HCG makes any difference

I left all my lovely embies to grow to blasts...so if there are any left over after implanation I will freeze them...fingers crossed...its that natural selection thing that appeals to me especially with my risk for downs syndrome being 1 in 80 pregnancies...eek

anyway enjoy your weekend....sort of ready for tomorrow, fed my body pinapple and fresh tomatoes out of the garden.....yummo...

    will keep you updated.......
lots of nerves...more on the results of the embie growth as they will not tell me until just before transfer...fingers crossed

thanks so much for the support...
