Welcome Sparklequeen and peguinstalker! Sparklequeen-I think your beta numbers look good. You can check them at betabase.com. It has info on beta doubling times and ideal numbers. I am sorry for all your mc! That must make this time very stressful. When is your next us?
Penguin-Let us know when you will have your first beta! That is very exciting news for you and DH!!
AFM-I have been less into sweets that usual which is a blessing. I do think that peanut butter is better than it has ever been, though. My sweet DH went and bought me bras that are a size larger this weekend. Ah, relief as they were in pain for the last few weeks. My DH is happy, but sad that I am so sick and sore.

Welcome all the new ladies and hi to the ones I've already met.
Well, I'm not sure what to make of things right now.
I just heard from my ob and though my HCG is 1294 andfine for when I was tested, 6w4d, my progesterone was low at only 3.9. the doctor would have liked to see a 10 or higher.
She wants me to go in for an ultrasound within the next two weeks but both clinics are booked till the 4th at this time.
I'm waiting to hear back as to whether the doctor's office could get me in there any earlier and also whether I should get another blood draw in the mean time.
I had one m/c before DD and I have to say, as hard as the m/c was, the not knowing was the most stressfull part. At least when you know, you can grieve and move on.
I'll let you all know what happens.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Mishka1 Are you taking progestreone cyclogest i take thesa for extra support 400mg daily x2 one of a morning and one before bed wondering wether you are already on thesa or you could consider asking your doc to give you thesa or gestone injections which is progesterone in a daily injection.

Hi Sparkle,
Progesterone supplementetion havs never been part of my regime.
I have hyperprolactinemia, my body thinks I'm nursing all the time due to a small tumor on my pituitary gland. This is treated with bromocriptine which lowers the level of prolactin being secreted and allows the other hormones to come up to normal levels.
I think that my ob wants to know what's going on in there before we start any kind of supplementation. It's not unusual to have an ectopic with normal HCG and low progesterone. Also, supplementation starting this late usually has no effect from what I've been reading.
Unfortunately, this remains a waiting game for me...
ARGH!!!!

Sparklequeen-I hope and pray that 2010 is your year too! I will be thinking about you on Thursday!
Mishka-I am so sorry to hear about the concerns over the low progesterone. Have you had low progesterone with other pregnancies? Can you fight to get an u/s earlier? Can you do it at the hospital? It just doesn't seem right to make you wait 2 weeks with your history of mc. I will keep you in my prayers!!
I am fighting a bad cold which is no fun added to the fatigue and nausea. It is all worth it though.

Hi Ladies,
I had my ultrasound yesterday at 4pm and they saw absolutely nothing.
I feel lucky that it wasn't ectopic but sad that it didn't work out this time.
the bleed that I had was definitely an early m/c.
To answer an earlier question, I have no history of low progesterone in pregnancy. Like the average 25% of all pregnancies, this was just a fluke chemical. My first m/c before DD was far more traumatic. It was my first pregnancy and right from the get go I spotted and he always measured small and had a slow and inconsistant HB at 6w.
But that's enough about this! Onward and upward. I'm happy that I was indeed able to conceive and confident that I can do it again.
I wish you ladies all the best of luck and hope you have happy healthy pregnancies and beautiful healthy babies!!!
xxxooo

Mishka, awful news. I suppose there are just no words that could appropriatly convey my sympathies.
Sparkle- good luck tomorrow. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Daily- My RE called and my betas were 499 4 weeks and 1 day into the pregnancy. He said that the numbers didn't mean that much right now other than to confirm the pregnacy. My first ultrasound is January 5.
I am home for the holidays and having a tough time not jumping up and down telling my folks, but we want to wait to make sure things progress. I am more wiped out than sick, do that is helping. I have been getting a dull ache in my uterus, especially if I have not eaten in awhile. Anyone else feel that way?

Sparklequeen-Sorry to hear about the bladder infection. I know that stomach pains can be completely normal in early pregnancy. I pray that you feel better today!
Mishka-I am so, so sorry for your devastating news. I know you must be heartbroken right now, but hope and pray that time will heal your heart. It is a good sign that you are able to conceive, and you have a chance for a future BFP! I wish you a Blessed Christmas!
Penguinstalker-I know how hard it is to not tell your family in the beginning. We waited for the first u/s to make sure the hb was ok before telling anyone. The 2 weeks between finding out we were pg and the us were really tough. Hang in there! I have had a little pull in my lower abs if I cough which I read is ligaments stretching. I feel really ill if I don't eat every hour or two. Also, the fatigue is really bad. Hopefully your DH is understanding. My DH did all the holiday cookie baking with my DS because I cannot do it this year. It is tough because you get used to being so active and know you just want to sit or sleep.
Merry Christmas to all! I hope that 2010 is the year for all of us!Me 36 (high FSH/DOR) DH 47
