It is 3:45Am....

Ugh!

I have been awake since 1:30am. I had several contractions very close to each other in the evening. So, I took a shower and went to bed...thinking that if this was it, I'd at least be clean. I didn't sleep well because of contractions, then..at 1:30 woke up to go to the bathroom and couldn't get back to sleep because of the contractions which were about 5 to 8 min. apart. And, I was feeling nauseas.

So, I laid in bed timing them (in my head). I tried so hard to go back to sleep...but, sleep just wouldn't come!

So, at 3:00 I finally got up. I don't want to wake everyone if this isn't the real thing.

Baby is moving a lot tonight. Even during contractions! And, of course since I've been up out of bed, the contractions have slowed. Ugh!

But, I did find a great site online that helps you track and time your contractions. So, here is the link in case you find yourself up in the night wondering if you should go into L&D or not (in my case, I don't think it's going to happen tonight...I could just cry).

Ugh. Michellei I'm sorry. Pre-labor is the worst! You are just uncomfortable enough that you can't go about your normal business but yet you are not in labor....so frustrating.

I hope you were able to get back to sleep last night and get some much needed rest. You're still working right?

Hope these are signs that your LO is coming soon!

Hugs. The waiting and wondering is so hard.

Girl, I am soooo sorry. I know this doesn't help, but I do understand your frustration. My body did the same thing.

When are you done with work?

I went back to sleep and got up around 9:30am this morning. I did take the day off of work. So, if I need to take a nap later today I can.

My last day of work is next Thurs. And then I'll have a week before my scheduled c-sect.

I'm not sure if I should call my dr. to let her know what went on last night or not. I was miserable though. The contractions actually have been coming a lot but last evening they were getting more and more frequent. I thought for sure that it was my "it's time" moment. But, not so!

I'm so so so so so frustrated. I do have a lot to do..so I know I can make the next two weeks go by quickly with getting things done. But, I'm also in pain and I'm tired!

Also, my in-laws are coming on the 20th (the day before my c-sect.). My mil already finds fault in everything I do, say, and any facial expressions. I'd like to have the baby now and have some time to recover at home before they get here. And, telling them to wait to come...that will not be pretty. She will say that I don't want her here, I'm being ugly to her, and the list could go on. They will help DH with the girls...but, I don't know how well I'll take any rude side handed comments from her.

Ok, I'm going to try to take this baby swing apart and wash it. Time to get to work to pass the time away!!!!

Hey Michellei, we are just about to leave but I just didn't want this to wait until Monday. You may try doing a Google search for "prodromal labor". There were a lot of things listed as ways to help during this time of pre-labor. It's worth looking up and it may give you some more ideas about getting through this.
Good luck!

UGH on the MIL... How frustrating... On top of everything else I can see why you'd want to deliver early and have some time... Yikes... But, if you DOOO speak your mind to her, I'd blame it on the horror-mones. Or (knowing me) I'd be tellng DH to talk to his Mom about being a little extra nicer during this visit.... It's such a delicate balance...

Hope you're feeling better and get in a nice nap or two
