My OB gave me a prescription for Nexium, but I haven't filled it yet. The Zantac was working, but not so much anymore. It is also reflux with lots of urps. I am also getting the reflux cough.
So are you taking anything for heartburn?
Thanks in advance,
Jillian

I lived just on Rolaids for a while, but ran out and have been to lazy to get more. Now I'm taking Zantac and if need be I will get more Rolaids to use with it.

I was avoiding the heartburn issue until the past week or so, and now it is full force with all those icky acidy reflux burps. At this point I'm just taking Tums, because I figure it is pointless to start anything else this late in the game. They seem to help somewhat, but if I still had a ways to go, I think I would be trying to get something stronger.

I have been on Prevacid for years for reflux and a hiatal hernia. So, I am usually covered when it comes to reflux, but I have had some days when the Prevacid just didn't seem to do it. So I added a little bit of Mylanta.

I started taking Pepcid (one a day) and I feel great. Before I was waking up feeling like I suffocating on a burp. But now I feel great. I can tell when I am getting close to the time I am due for another pill.

Just TUMS here. It pretty much just started up the last week or so and I notice a huge difference based on what I eat.....I just can't stay away from the spicy food! Chocolate brings in on almost instantly.

Barge...
Hi Jillian--I am taking Nexium. I was on it for 2 years before getting pregnant. When I started my IVF cycle my RE told me to come of off it and then my OB told me to stay off of it until the second trimester. I was miserable without it for the first trimester. I started back on it the minute I got the OK from my OB and it works really well. I have tried all the others in the past...Prilosec, Pepsid, Prevacid, etc and none have worked as well as Nexium for me.
