O.K. I am really impatient...

So, I called one of those 3/4D ultrasound places and I have an appt. to do a 2D ultrasound on Wednesday... For $100 they will do as many ultrasounds as it takes to tell me the sex!

My DH thinks I am the most impatient person in the world for not waiting until my next Peri Appt. on 4-19.

I just want to start "nesting".. once I know the sex of the other baby- I can plan my nursery, etc.

I have this worry that I will go on bed rest at some point and I just want to have as much done as I can before I get really far along..and have that possiblity which increases with multiples..
Am I silly and impatient for doing this??

I did the same thing! Went for an elective u/s 17 days before my regularly scheduled appointment. It's completely understandable. I was just as impatient and I didn't have two to plan for so don't worry at all. I had the best experience at the elective ultrasound place I went to. It was so different from the very business-like clinical aptmosphere of the place I go for my regular u/s and they let me bring my whole family. It was so fun and we got a ton of pictures.

My DH thought I was nuts, but he ended up loving the experience we had.

I think thats totally a smart thing to do. Bedrest can sneak up on ya and I'm sure you would rather be all prepared for the babies than not. Your not silly, I'm sure thoes U/S pics will be worth the trip alone!

I agree. I truly am impatient. If I had to wait one day more, I would have done the same thing. You will be happy you did. I love knowing.

I totally agree too!! Find out!! Start nesting and planning!! You are right, you never know...and while you are still feeling great get as much done as you can!!

i have been tempted too, my appointment is 18th april so ages to wait too, but you have a far better reason, you have 2 to plan for, and get the nursery ready for, i am just impatient, no other reason, but luckily for me the time is passing quickly, the kids are off school until 13th so it will pass for me in no time.

if i was in your shoes i would be there with bells on.
