    u/s tonight and...

we saw an umbellical cord!!! All day, I had this feeling that we weren't going to be able to find out the babies sex and I was right. First, the baby had his/her legs crossed with the cord snugly in between and then despite lots of wiggling, the cord stayed put right there blocking the techs view. He did say at one point that he felt about 80% boy, but then he backed off on that a little bit. We just had to laugh! The baby looks GREAT! Everything looks just as it should and we were thrilled! And the tech said we can come back early next week (I have to call tomorrow to schedule) to try again-no charge. The place we went was so great. We got a video of the whole thing which was at least 30 min, 6 printed pics and a cd with about 50 still images for $150. It was worth every penny of my birthday money!

I have some amazing 3D pictures and will try to post one tomorrow.

Cross your fingers for us that the cord moves out of the way for the second try!

Oh Jen no! Ugh thats so frusterating. I have been waiting all night for this post for an umbellical cord!? I am glad that baby looks good, and a plus that you get to see him/her again in a week. That will be fun, and maybe you need to have a talk with him/her and let him/her know that he/she needs to uncross his/her little legs. Whew thats hard to write without sexes in there! I bet that getting all thoes pics was priceless. Yea for do-over ultrasounds.
    Take care,
    Tammie

As frustrating as it is to not know the sex yet, seeing baby moving and wiggling is so wonderful. Im glad all went well.

Oh well, you've got a stubborn little bugger in there! But I am thrilled to hear everything looks as it should. The u/s was 30 minutes long? How awesome is that?
Next week will be here before you know it and we'll all be waiting for "the news"!

DARN!! At least you get a second peak Maybe drink something sugary before the appointment to get that baby dancing alot so the cord won't stay in one place? I did that once and it did work, although I was more like 26 weeks at the time (I needed confirmation of an 80% prediction at 18 weeks that it was a boy) I hope you can see it next time!

I thought I'd share one of the pictures...The baby is sucking his/her thumb which it did on and of a lot which is too funny because I was the champion thumb-sucker from the day I was born until I was 6 years old!

How adorable! I love your ultrasound pic. I know you must be a little disappointed that you didn't get to find out today. Hopefully, next time he/she will not be shy.
