anyone else in New England and getting pummeled with snow?!? we're getting between 20-30 inches, and i bet we already have 20 out there! YIKES! and the drifts are amazing. we're right where mass, conn, and RI come together. i'm just looking out my window watching the whiteness blow by!
take care, and anyone else in this storm, stay warm!!

I'm in Syracuse, NY, central part of the state that is known for lots of snow. I had to work at the hospital lastnight, so I had the pleasure of driving in it!! We got 14 inches...less than you, but still alot. It's supposed to snow again tonight, and tomorrow and the next day...I'm used to it living here, though.
Glad you could stay warm! I took care of a baby that was born in a car because of the storm lastnight. What a story her mom will have to tell someday!

I thought it was bad here in the Chicago area until I saw what you guys are getting! We got about 15" yesterday--beautiful if you don't have to go anywhere.
Everybody stay safe and warm!

goodness you lot, i cant even inagine it snowing that much, here in england there is complete standstill if we get more than a few inches, we are just not used to it, or geared up for it, we went to lapland (finland) to see santa 23rd december and it was -16 with really deep snow, it was lovely, i suppose it is along as you dont need to get on with everyday life and work in it. everyone with snow, stay safe and warm.

Hi everyone, I am from Canada! You know, the cold and snowy country?! It seems like it has been snowing here everyday since Christmas. We still have extreme cold advisory till Monday noon for the past week. It reaches -35 to -40 C with the wind chill. It is veeeeery cold. I don't mind the snow but I can't even enjoy it because it is way toooo freezing! How is that for a weather?

WOW, that IS COLD!!!!!!! We get to about -25-30 with windchill sometimes here in Central NY. I like to call where I live "Siberacuse". We usually get about 200 inches of snow a year, so this year actually has been sorta slow in the snow area. It's been darn cold, though, but not that bad.

Hello fellow New Englander!

We didn't get as much as they were threatening. I'd say between 12 - 18". The Supermarkets are always mobbed before a storm so on Friday I went to this little plaza that has a fish market, deli and bakery. I got Lobster Bisque soup, stuffed crabmeat shrimp, cajun shimp & scallops (for DH)...went into the bakey and bought bread bowls...and then went into the deli for a salad, meatballs and mozzarella for Sunday nights dinner.

We basically hibernated and watched movies and ate all weekend! I wanted to walk to church on Sunday but DH wouldn't let me! It's funny because I'm the one who mows the lawn and shovels so sitting back and watching him was driving me crazy!!!

As a treat, though, my DH did take me to "The Hill" down the street where 60-70 kids were riding on all different kinds of sleds and tubes. We must have sat there for about 30 minutes and fantasized about taking our kid there in two years...it was great!
