    Dyson owners

Which one do you have and why do you like it? DH got a ton of gift cards for a particular store for doing some off time testing. So he's wanting to use it for a house present and really wants to replace our small vacuum. We've been shopping for a new vacuum anyway and I can get a dyson animal ball for no out of pocket money or one of the others for very little out of pocket money. Just wanting some advice.

I have the animal. But mine is old and they didn't have the ball one when I got mine. The only difference between the animal and the regular one is attachments. And in 5-6 yrs I've never used those attachments. LOL
    Any Dyson will be excellent.

I have the purple one. I got it about 2 years ago. I LOVE it. It picks up so much dirt out of the carpet. And I like that it doesn't have a bag. I can just dump the dirt straight in the trash.

I think mine is the Animal-Ball. At least it does have the ball technology. I love it! You can't go wrong with a Dyson!

Ok, we bought the animal without the ball and only paid $10 out of pocket after DH used his gift cards. When we got it home and opened it the animal ball was in the box instead. So I called the store and talked to the manager. He said that we should just keep the one we had as long as we wanted it because it was their mistake. He did offer to exchange it for the other one if we really wanted it. The price difference in their store was almost $300. I tested the ball in our family room-it has the dirtiest carpets.

I love that vaccuum. We did the test were I swept a section of carpet, then vaccumed twice with our vacuum and then went over it with the dyson. It really did suck up a ton of stuff that I couldn't see in the carpet. So I decided to keep the ball. I really love the thing considering we paid $275 in gift cards and onlyh $10 out of pocket. I'm not sure how I would love it if we would have paid all of it. Definitely don't think I would have been able to swallow paying $559 for it.
