Ok...we just put the tree up. The babies went to bed before it was decorated so I'll let you know how it goes. Their eyes lit up though while I was testing strands of lights. I can't wait for them to see it all. DH did go to BRU today and bought a superyard to put around the tree. I won't use it unless they start climbing the tree thoug.![]()

We are putting ours up the first weekend of December. We are puitting it back in a corner of the living room where Mo is never aloud to go, as it was a side tabel and one of our dogs often lays back there to hide from her, or to have alone time. He has plenty of places to lay and will be the only one possibly put out by it being there--this was what we figured would cause the least about of upheavel in the house so we don't have to move the whole living room around.
Let me know how your little ones do.

How exciting! I am not sure when the tree will go up now. I really want a real tree and want to get it next week. We are going on a conference trip, though, and may go to another one in FL back to back so no one will be here to water my tree for a week.

I'm thinking next Sunday the tree goes up. Depends on how exhausted I am after our trip . . . heck, if we're snowed in the tree may go up Thanksgiving Day, after we sit around our table eating macaroni and cheese and thawed meatballs from Sam's Club.
Only one tree this year, I think.
I only have one Superyard . . . and we spend more time in the basement than upstairs. So the 9.5' tree for the great room will probably stay put away. I'm bummed, though. I love how that makes the great room look.

They were so excited to see the tree this morning. I got a little sweaty eyed watching their faces light up. Caroline started squirming out of my arms to get to it and Ben just stared at it with a sweet smile on his face. Of course the superyard went up 3 minutes later. They headed straight into the tree and started grabbing ornaments off.

I plan to put the plastic non-breakable ornaments low that way if she get's them it isn't too big of a deal the rest will go higher.
Let us know how the superyard works out with the kids... I am interested to hear. We are getting one next week to put around it and we are going to tie the tree to the wall!
