Melin, i will probably be using the swing to get J to sleep til school is out next month. Then i'm going to slowly try to get him to go to sleep out of pure exhaustion in his crib. He has done that a few times in my arms, so i'm going to try it in his own crib. Have to wait til school is out though so i dont have to stay up too late.

We haven't been using our swings for a while. I don't remember when we stopped but DH put them away a wk or so ago during our baby proofing madness.

We still use ours from time to time, mostly on weekends when he's just as cranky as can be and refuses to lay in his crib for a nap. Sort of a "last resort" kind of thing.
He can't stand his travel swing right now . . . I want to try getting him used to that for a few weeks here, as it would be useful when we're in Myrtle in two weeks . . .

maddox hated his swing from day 1, so it's been in the basement forever. I wish we had something to calm him down, the only way he'll go to sleep anymore is by crying in his crib for 10 minutes or less. I know I know I'm a horrible mom, but he does everything he can to stay awake.
