Just wanted to see how everyone is doing. I've been thinking of you all and hoping things are going well for everyone. How are those babies? Sleeping? Not sleeping? Eating well?

I am worn out!! I barely get to get online. My lil man has serious reflux issues. Also he was pretty sick. At 2 weeks old he got real congested and was put on breathing treatments every 4 hours, also he was eating every 3 hours. Boy I was sleepy. He is finally doing better. We are still having reflux issues but his lil lungs are better. We went for his 2 month ck up and he was 12lbs and 24 inches long.
How is everything with you?

M won't sleep more than 3 hours at night and catnaps during the day. Bad reflux here too. Makes him very fussy. He is on Prilosec which helps right after we give it to him but doesn't seem to have any long term benefits. I am so tired I feel sick. I need a night to sleep all the way through. DD is trying to be good but she is 2.5 and needs attention too.
2 month appt on Friday. Hopefully they can give me some advice. I may try putting cereal in his formula tonight to see if he sleeps longer.

Brooklyn eats what seems to be constantly. Just when I thought I wasn't sore anymore, she started eating like crazy. This has been going on for several days now. So, maybe she is on a growth spurt. But, I am so sore again.
At night, she sleeps for about 5 hrs. then she wakes at 2.5 hrs. During the day is when she is eating a lot.
She was one month on Monday. I can't believe it!
My C-sect. incision area is still tender. And, it hurts if I press on my stomach above the c-sect. I have an appt. this Friday. I also have to decide what birth control I will use. I have decided against the IUD as I am scared to death of the pain from insertion. I know..I sound like a wuss.
Anyway, I have no idea what we'll do for birth control..this is just so weird for us to even need to worry about. But, I really shouldn't be getting pg. again because of having 3 c-sect. and because of the chance of blindness in our kids.
McKenna, how are you and Gabby today? Have you found out anything from the dr. yet?
Bunker, did you put cereal in M's bottle last night? How did he sleep?

Sorry, I looked at the time..but thought it was in the PM. Nursing a baby while cruising online doesn't seem to be working too well.

I hope it works though...I know that feeling of being so tired you can hardly function.

Bunker Carson has been on cereal. It didnt help him sleep longer, but it has helped the projectile vomiting he was doing. Good luck!

I am feeling tapped out today. It just feels like it has been one thing after another with the tongue-tie and now his circumcision. Gabe seems to have his days and night's seriously confused. He sleeps all day and fusses and eats all night. I had to have DH help me out last night. I was just too wiped out. At 3 a.m. I had only slept for 40 minutes. He took over and I got to sleep for a couple hours before the girls got up.
I am taking him in today to have his little peeper looked at. I don't know how many of your decided to circumcise but this is all new to me. They used the "ring" on him. It should have fallen off by now but hasn't. I hope they don't have to cut the ring off.
My 2-1/2 year old has also decided that 5:30 is her new wake-up time!
Not good timing.
Those of you considering the rice cereal - I had my FS pediatrician give me some great advice. Instead of using a larger nipple on the bottle you make the rice finer. I put the cereal in a blender until it was a fine powder instead of flakes. It disolved a whole lot easier and there was no gagging because of too large of a nipple.DD (8)

We are doing well. Allie had her 1 month appt today. The ped helped me with a big problem After feedings she gets very cranky due to the fact she wouldn't burp. Well the Dr showed me how to burp her with the pacifier in her mouth sitting up. So far I did it one time. YEAH ! She is up to 9 lbs. The pedi also said I was probably overfeeding her because she was acting fussy/hungry after feedings so I would feed her a little longer. She said the burping issue should help. Plus maybe she will stretch out her feedings. I don't mind getting up for night feedings, I just wish she would go right back to sleep. I have been giving her more Bmilk bottles.
Feeling the lack of sleep.
Things I have noticed that have changed since becoming a mom:
-Laundry, laundry, laundry, house isn't as clean
-Can't just run into the store, Like at the gas station
-Wish I had 2 sets of hands (nursing, bottle feeding)
-My dogs really have been getting on my nerves
-My husband's snoring has really been bothering when I am dead tired nursing the baby and I hear him through the wall sound asleep.
But on the positive side I wouldn't change it for the world. I love her more and more each day. Today when she got her shot I couldn't help a few tears.Jill 33/Andy 39

Whew, one less thing to worry about. Ped. said that the circumcision looked good and that the ring should fall off in the next couple days. It's just taking a bit longer than usual. His cord is still on too at 10 days old. He's just kind of taking a while to heal up I guess.
On the great note, his nursing has made a HUGE comeback since he had his tongue fixed. He was 7.11 at birth, 7.8 when we left and only 7.10 at the ped. at 4 days old. Well, today at 10 days old he was 8.8!! WooHoo! That's 14 oz. in 6 days! That's my boy! Made my heart happy!DD (8)
