Hi August mommies!

So, I guess most of our little one's are already at the 8mth mark. Kyle will be there next weekend. Just wondering how everyone is doing.

And all the other missing August mommies - hope you and your lo's are doing well.

Kyle is almost crawling. We are on the verge. He can get back into a sitting position from his stomach and is all over the place. He's actually starting to pull himself up on things, which makes for very alarming moments! He has 2 bottom teeth and eats just about everything that we eat. He weighs approx. 23lbs but not sure how long he is and is wearing 12 to 18 mths clothes on the top anyways, and 9 to 12 mths on the bottom (he has a little waist but a big chest like Daddy).

Other than that, everything is going pretty well. He generally sleeps from about 9pm to 7am without those 2 to 3 hr wakeups that he used to have but he still whines through the night several times. He was bad the week that he got the 2 teeth and I don't know if more are coming but I hope that he starts to sleep more soundly soon. He is a terrible day napper and only cat naps for about 30 to 45 mins about 2x a day. I go back to work at the end of August and I cannot believe how fast time is flying! I'm going to miss him so so much.

Hello..Karlie turned 8 mths on the 8th of April. she's not crawling yet & still struggling to sit up, dont think i gave her enough tummy time, so shes slightly delayed in that dept. Shes been saying momma, ba, clapping her hands, blowing raspberries & smacking her lips. Shes a peanut weighing in @ 15.12 pds, some 3-6 mth clothes still fit her!!! Has 4 teeth now (2 bottom, 2 top) Shes doing great & is the sunshine of our lives!

I am here. I have been crazy busy lately so try and check in regularly but haven't posted much on FT.

Christian is getting so big, too. I don't know how much he weighs but sounds like he is wearing the same sizes as Kyle. He is a chunky boy He eats like a horse. He takes a full 8 oz every 3-4 hours and eats two meals a day.

He isn't crawling at all but he gets around the whole room between creeping, pushing and rolling. He has gotten rather mobile this week without crawling. It is pretty funny. Not even close to pulling up or anything, though. His naps are much more predictible with two or three naps a day lasting 1-2 hours or more.

He is the HAPPIEST! sweetest little guy. He really is a doll. I could have a dozen of him!

dre, I don't think that she's delayed, some babies just do things later. My DD was 9 mths before she started crawling and 14 mths before she started walking. She may just surprise you one day and do everything at once. My pedi told me that they are more concerned at this point with minor motor skills and that they are alert and interactive with you rather than the gross motor skills, because they come at different times for all babies.

She sounds like a little darling! Enjoy her.

Hey Sherb- Thanks for thinking of me. We are doing well over here. Parker will be 8 months on the 25 of this month. I can't believe how big he is getting. He's well over 20lbs and is a eating machine when it comes to baby food and recently puffs. He is beginning to try to crawl and gets up on all fours and rocks and goes about 2 feet. I'm sure it will bust open anyday now. I was showing my dh your peanuts picture and he couldn't believe how much are boys look alike along with all of our other similarities Everyone is good but busy....

Glad to see your guy is sleeping thru the night finally. We are here too. 7pm-8:30 am with a dream feed around 10pm.

Hey Melanie, it's so nice to hear from you! Glad to hear that you guys are doing well and I swear that Kyle and Parker could be twins. Kyle will be 8 mths on the 25th (Sat.) as well. He's about 23lbs and just started crawling last night and that's how he started, so, I'm sure that Parker will be going anytime.

Just looking at your avatar and I swear, they really do look so much alike. Take care hon and check in more often.

Hey everyone! Michael has an ear infection...so cranky which makes for a cranky mommy! He hasn't been taking very long naps since he has been sick so I can't get much done. Before his cold he was doing 1 1/2 to 2 hr naps 3x a day which was great! He has been sleeping all night, about 8:30pm to 6:30am. A bit early for me but at least I don't have to get up at night.

I have "quit" breastfeeding him, I say that in quotations because I have given in a couple times when he was really fussy. I didn't think I would have any engorgement issues since I was only feeding him once or twice a day, but after a couple days I was pretty sore. He is still only taking 6oz bottles, which he rarely finishes completely. I think he is more of a snacker. Not doing anything more than the stage 2 baby food yet, gags on anything else. He's got 4 teeth now and been drooling like crazy for a few weeks since the teeth started coming in.

He is still rocking on all fours, going to get crawling any day now. He gets mad when he is on his tummy so I have to constantly sit him back up if he decides to go after a toy or falls over from sitting.

Guess that's about it...Sounds like everyone else is doing well.

So sorry that Michael is sick Caridd. I hope that he feels better soon. Ear infections are so nasty.
