We're home!!! Well, actually we've been home for a week and 2 days, but it seems to have just flown by
Little Miss Ella is doing beautifully! Steve's rocking her for her morning nap right now. She really is just a happy, loving baby who is very eager to explore her new world She did so great traveling home (about 25 hours in all, counting time waiting in airports) and has adjusted beautifully. She went right to her grandparents at the airport (we had both sets pick us up). She put her little arms out to my mom to hold her She's had a little adjustment getting used to her crib, but we're sleeping in her room on a mattress and take her in with us when she's scared. Last night she spent the whole night in her crib (with us in the room!). So that was great!
The first few days home were very overwhelming. Even though we had her for about 3 weeks in Viet Nam, as soon as we got home it hit me....hey, where's the housecleaning? where's the room service? where are all the lovely local people who are thrilled about this baby and have only smiles and joy for you? But it definitely has gotten better and I'm starting to see the fun times more clearly. We've had visitors, and that's been really nice and Steve had 2 days off work this past week so he was home. That really helped me, so that was good timing
The cats are doing amazingly well with her!!! 2 of them are very concerned about her and are almost always by her side and the other 2 are just cool. They let her pat them and she is just delirious when she sees them
So I wanted to share some pics of my cutie...here she is (she turned 7 months old on Friday!!!). The pink baby gap hoodie set she's wearing in one of the pics was an LA purchase and it's too cute!!!

Welcome Home Rebecca and Ella!! I followed your journey through your blog and was fascinated with each entry!! Ella is just beautiful and is always looking so happy!! Her eyes are just gorgeous! Let me know when you are ready for a play date!! I am SOOOOO happy for all three of you!!!

Ella is beautiful. I am glad your trip went well. I think its hard adapting to any new baby, it will only get better

Ella is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome Home!!!!!! I have been wondering about you. I do agree that any new baby is a huge adjustment, so hang in there!!
