OT~Anyone have any tips for camping...

....with a 3.5yr old and a extremely active 15mth old .....and no, NOT going is not an option LOL !!

We leave Sunday for 5 glorious days of living in a tent all together....sounds really sweet doesn't it ??

I actually used to really love camping, but that was before children...now it's a whole different ball game....and one I'm having trouble trying to get my head around !!

So if anyone has done a trip with the little ones in tow....please share your experiences (only joyful ones of course ) and tips with me.....I'm starting to get a little panicked now LOL

You are VERY brave Cindy Dh loves camping but honestly I haven't even considered it yet. I can't imagine sleeping in the same tent as everyone else, maybe because I'm such a light sleeper. I hope you get some great suggestions

I'd suggest getting them their own tent complete with a nanny We love camping too but haven't done so with the little one yet. One things for sure - you'll be coming back with lots of great stories and I can't wait to hear them!

We love to camp and plan on doing lots of it this Summer with the girls We went to a full emenities type campground last Spring with it, but no real roughing it yet so I don't have any tips other than bring stuff for them to do. We will surely be bringing along the soccer ball and the girls' fishing poles
    Have fun!

My only advice.... use a camper! We are BIG campers and go every other weekend in the spring/summer, but we have a camper now. I didnt mind doing the tent thing before kids, but after kids it wasn't so fun. It felt like you were packing your entire house up for a weekend! You will have a blast though. I haven't met a child who doesn't have a great time when camping. Have fun and I cant wait to see pictures!!

I would make sure you bring toys to play with and a wagon or stroller so you can tour the campground. Does the campground have a playground, pool, etc? We always bring a bike for ds to ride. Don't forget the goods to make s'mores!!
