O/T wanting to squeeze your brains AGAIN - ideas for original overalls!

I am wanting to make another pair of overalls and I want an ORIGINAL idea- with summer coming everyone has beach overalls... fish ones... flowers...

Here are a couple of ideas I am tosssing around- PLEASE give me your honest opinions and any other original ideas you may have!!!

Lauren loves the songs Baby Beluga and Down by the Bay- I was thinking about making overalls that are designed after the words to the songs. Do your kids know/like these or just my kid? Any other kid songs that might make cute overalls?

Thinking about making an ocean pair but for a cold beach like we have in Oregon. With rocks, seals, whales, maybe a lighthouse in the background... seems like they would be for a boy more then a girl...

Anyone else have ideas?

How about a spring showers pair with raindrops, rain boots, umbrellas? Blooming flowers? Sunglasses?

Oh and Amy - I forgot to tell you....

I typed out this LONG email reply to you about the twirl skirt and my computer froze up and I lost it. Grrr! Anyhow, I see that you figured it out! I actually started mine from the top and worked my way down. So, how many YARDS did you use in yours?

Love Fossie's idea........
If we make a suggestion and you use it, do we get a pair?

I also like the Down by the Bay song.....whales (reminds me of the Gymbo line a year or so ago) or what about crabs or lobsters. I know there are alot of cute graphic t's w/ those on them.

Hmm.......I will keep thinking.
By the way....LOVED the twirl skirt. You do AMAZING work!!

Oh Kerri I did not think a thing of it! I don't know how many yards of fabric I used but the bottom ruffle was LOOOOOOOOOONG!!! It does take up a lot of material however I did enjoy making it!

Foss- your idea is so cute it has been done before! And even "raining cats and dogs" has been done!

Another thing I am thinking about... it would be a LOT of applique... is a dinosaur bones display- like in a museum. (did I spell that right...?) It would be a LOT of applique but I think it could do well...

MORE IDEAS PLEASE!!!

oooooooh! You are all coming up with some good ones! I hope this does not offend anyone but I called my mom to see if she had some ideas of overalls that have not been done anymore and she said "how about I HAVE TWO MOMMIES or MY STEP MOM IS A TRAMP..."

(the sense of humor I grew up with... )
