When you walk in?

I alternate between two, one near my house and one near Carters school.

Since they are already packaged I just have to drop them off, but one has a cart thingy near the door and one near my house I have to go put them on the counter.

A few of them recognize me when I walk in, and if I haven't been there for awhile the postman asked how I am, the kids etc.

Just curious if you are on a first name, face basis with your post office

The PO by dh's work knows him well

Although I think dh would prefer not to 'know' them at all lol!

The one that is open on Saturday's knows me well

....Like Mish I think he'd prefer they didn't. My PO is small and anal. They always re-weigh my packages and make dh stand there. Drives him nuts. I think I'm going to have to start getting my mail carrier to do pickups, for his sanity

We actually have two, if you can believe that and all the employees at both offices know me by first name

. Guess it's part of the small town charm.

The one I am closest to has a woman I despise because of her paper pushing mentality and love of making you get out of line to fill new forms. I actually drove to one farther out of the way when I had to mail my international packages on Tuesday. All my domestic mail gets online shipping labels and goes out through our school mail so I never have to deal with the post office usually.

yep... actually my dh jokes that our mailman is my "boyfriend" and I joke that the counter lady(a kinda goofy single late 40something lady) is his "girlfriend"...

There are 2 of them that I go to. Just depends which direction I want to drive in. Sometimes if going to the mall well then I even use a 3rd. one! I think that the 2 that I frequent most do recongnize me! Not by name though!
