Question OT. Anybody else getting pi$$ed about what people are charging for shipping on ebay?

I see cute things and want them but I REFUSE to pay what the seller wants for shipping. You know the item costs less than $3 or $4 to send and they want $6 and up. It is really getting me mad. And what is worse, you write them a nice letter asking why and they get all pi$$y on ya. Ackkkk! OK...done venting. LOL!

I just got a package today that I was forced to pay $8 and insurance on. It actually cost the seller $4 to ship. They've already left me feedback and I'm debating whether to mention their highway robbery! LOL! Usually I don't bid but she had offerend combined shipping and I thought that would be a better deal than it ended up being.

Same thing happened to me Stacy. I pre-asked if a seller combined shipping. She wanted $5 each auction to ship t'shirts. She said she would so I bought 3 things from her. She only knocked off $1 on ech item and charged me $12 to ship 3 t'****s. Next time I will have to ask what they will charge for combined shipping. I sooo wanted to cancel the auction when I got the invoice but wasn't sure I could and didn't want neg feedback.

I think people are just trying to make up for the increase in ebay fees. I have been putting $6 to ship mens speedo shorts... as i am only selling them for 9.99.... so I make $2 on shipping. If i list at 11.99 or more... then I have to pay more to list AND more on the final(ebay doesnt' take any final fees on the shipping total). So for me, I can sell them cheaper to the person by charging 2 more bucks... plus cheaper for them as I would have to raise my starting fee to cover the extra that ebay takes. Now more than $6 to ship... I would pass on the product.

I had to pass up on a shirt I really wanted for Bridget because the seller wanted $10.00 for S/H. I can understand a slight handling fee, but a shirt shipped for $10. Yikes.

I just bought a 2t dress for my daughter and shipping is $5. I think that's too much. So I asked if there's any way I can pay actual shipping cost. Hope she doesn't get mad because I asked! Frankly, I'll buy it anyway because I REALLY want it for pictures but $5???
I get PO'd when I get an item and shipping is a few dollars less than what I paid. I think that's STEALING unless they specifically state that it's handling fees (which is a crock of sh** in my book)
If I sold something like that I would only charge $1.85 (or whatever ground is nowdays) or $3.85 for Priority shipping.

Yes. I find that more often now than ever before, and it is irritating. I know it doesn't cost $5 to send a 2T-sized piece of clothing. Usually I pass on items where the shipping is inflated. It sometimes completely blows a good deal!

Ok we are getting ready to welcome home my DH. I've made the kids very cute outfits fitting for the moment. Anyway I found shoes laces that are very patriotic to go with thier matching sneakers. I had to have them. I paid $8 to ship two pairs of shoelaces. They came in a regular envelope.
